Anyone here from the original Galahad server?

I think its a sign of advancing age, but I was talking to someone about the community back then and telling some funny stories, and I realised that I couldn't remember anyone's names... Well, almost. I recall we had a guild leader named Ludacris(who wound up getting his name changed due to the naming policy) who had to quit and passed the guild leadership... But anyone else? I just don't recall now.

Looking to connect with some of the people I used to play with(cause tbh, with a few notable exceptions most of the people I guild with since then aren't worth guilding with. modern MMO communities suck) and hopefully get a bunch of the old crowd playing together in GW2 when it comes out.

So, anyone still around?

    I've definitely mellowed since then :p

     

    So miss those days though. No MMO has ever captured the feel and community since. They're just games.. lol

    I think I was on that server :)  I was in a guild that later became Cornwall United Infantry. . maybe it was another server.  I can't even remember the name of the initial guild before the splinter but those folks I played with where some of the best ever. . I know the games are viewed with rose coloured glasses. . but the community. . that was truly something different.

    First 50 ranger on Galahad, co-founder of Eclipse (they were doing very well last I checked in but no idea if they're still active in any form). That was one of my all time favorite MMO characters - especially pre-blade turn :)

    I recently tried to reactivate that account but the info needed (original code & CC number) are long gone - It looked like someone may have stolen the account actually as he was appearing on the leaderboard after I'd stopped playing. Ah well, I would have loved to log him in again. Actually it looks as if someone from Pak'Cafan was playing him (just googled his name and found his name listed in a Pak'Cafan players sig, makes sense as they were on our server).

    DAoC pre-expansions on that server was one of the best communities I've ever had the opportunity to be a part of. One of the enemy big guilds actually made a nice mock movie poster featuring our guild and a few others for: 'Dude, Where's My Relic?'. I would love to find that - yeah we were on the losing side but it was pretty funny. 

    I actually remember quite a few names, oddly enough I remember my very first solo kill in the frontiers (around lvl 22 or so) was a troll Skald named 'Hayden'. I was hooked on PvP after that.

    I seem to recall that my guild at release was called Vendetta.

    I had a Warden(don't recall name) and a void eld named Ljos Alfar.
