Just bought this and NOT impressed about...

Ok, I have a 2MB connection to the net and yet I cannot seem to get my account created. It takes so darn long that by the time I get to the end it says I took too long and to start over. It's been over 30 mins so far and STILL the sign up page speed is useless. Not the best of starts. This better be a damn good game as I love Guild Wars and that was easy to set up
Currently playing: World of Warcraft. Love the Recruit a Friend program!

You've probably hit the account server during the weekly maintenance window (every Tuesday), which in turn causes all the players to run to the WoW site and forums awaiting on what changes has happened (if any), which in turns leads to horrible lag. Even after the servers go back online, the lag takes awhile to clear up.
As for Guild Wars, don't try to compare apple to oranges.. WoW is not GW, and GW is not WoW. Plain and Period.
Yeah, I also had BIG problems creating/cancelling my account.
I was sooo much looking forward to get into game when I purchased a copy if it in a shop that it was quite frustrating being stuck with the account creation.
Well, the game is good though, you won't regret it to get your account fixed.
