What's more intresting is just like some other games, defenders are giving it 10's because of low scores and don't have much to say as to why they are giving it a 10. It's very odd.
How many of the positive reviews are from people being paid to do so?
The skewing works both ways and tends to cancel itself out. I find that the average user reviews tend to be a more accurate depiction of the overall game.
Not every game can be SUPER game like Bethesda's game Elder Scroll V: Skyrim(300hours gameplay+Creation kit for mods for FREE) only one can be best sorry bioware fans.
I beat Skyrim in 3 hours...
I actually enjoy both but your E-peening is very funny.
Wait story? Or every single thing in the game? Also what mode was you using?!?!?!?
I love how rushing through a game and ignoring 99% of the content is now considered beating a game. Damn Bethesda...if only you'd put more into a game I plan on completely ignoring for $60.00
Whats "The best" is subjective... But I guess not here on MMORPG.com
Looks like Bioware truly lost it. I thought Dragon Age 2 was a misstep and SW:TOR just showed that they should stick with single player games but now Mass Effect 3?
Just proves again that greed is not good and EA is all about greed.

I've played bioware games, all except this one.
You are telling me this has a massive open exploring theme where there is a lot of side content?
Because every single review I've read says otherwise.
Also, many people on this site do agree with objectivity and subjectiveness when it comes to enjoyment of a video game. Generalizing people because you don't like them for generalizing is silly.
How many of the positive reviews are from people being paid to do so?
Really?
Well concidering that there are over 400 negative review to 70 positive, who do oyu think is getting paid?
No ones getting paid to post reviews, all I am point out is that people are voting negativly because of EA and not because of the actually game itself.
The end of the series is a mixed bag. Satisfying in some ways, nonsensical in others, and ultimately too simple. But the sheer scale of the adventure it's ending – and the music, which is gorgeous throughout – gives it an emotional impact that goes beyond its plot payload.
Personally I found Skyrim boring after playing it for 15 hours. If i wanted large worlds with RPG elements id play an MMO.
Personally I enjoyed Skyrim for a bit, but yeah unguided sandbox play I feel is most at home in an online enviroment, or at least a co-op one like Minecraft.
I don't quite get how "beating the game" is subjective in a bioware game though, I mean if you complete the story most of the game is done then right? Like what side things can you possibly do? There wasn't much "side" stuff on Dragon age 2, or Dragon age, I mean the add on to it wasn't even the same story.
Its a very linear game, which isn't bad, but I'm not sure how "rushing" or not rushing is any different, what things did they miss by rushing?

The review sites for one are. There have been several instances of mediocre or poor reviews of a game resulting in pulled ad revenue or having a reviewer/review site blacklisted by publishers. This is moreso of a problem with games by larger publishers, specifically EA and Activision.
And yeah, there are actually people paid to go out and drum up fake viral marketing. WHich includes people employed by companies to go onto review sites and post reviews that are positively skewed.
And even so, even using the "they just hate EA" excuse, how many fanboys are skewing the results with perfect 10s? Like I said before, the skewing goes both ways.
It's evident that EA has reviewers in their pockets, but the ludicrous reviews by disgruntled players only serve to create the antithesis of this "hypermarketing".
The exagerration only muddles the point that is attempted to be made.
With that said, I'll add that I'm one of those people who's COMPLETELY lost all respect and faith in so-called "professional" reviews. The corruption is just so blatant that it becomes an insult to people's intelligence.

Because 9 and 10s are more accurate for a gmae like ME3 than a 1 or 0.
When will people learn EA don't give a fuck about games, they care more about marketing and sucking every last penny out of your wallet. Stop buying their games.

Why, because it's made by Bioware?
There's a term for people who think this way...
I agree that 1 and 0 are too low, but 9 and 10 are still too high.
somewhere between a 7 and 8 is far more realistic. Especially when you read a lot of the critic reviews, the overwhelmingly mid to high 90s reviews do not match the text that sounds like it should be in the low to mid 80s.

I think he means because a C is closer to a B or an A than a 0 ( or incomplete / not turning in work)
Which is true.
Yet that doesn't make a C an A.
Of course I am not implying that this game is a C, I am merely stating facts.
If sites don't give big game companies like EA good reviews then that site will no longer get hands on previews and their website will fall behind against its competitors.

Myself and this mag are never far off, I think they nailed it. Definitly not what many here are sputting off, sorry you don't have the money to get it atm so your butt hurts, but doesn't mean it sucks because you can't. I have played and this review is pretty much right on, enjoying it very much so and I agree 100% with the spacebar comment, annoying as hell, hope it's fixed in a patch, my only gripe so far.

I had the same feeling at the end of Final Fantasy 10. >.>
My theme song.
Well just look at the PC Gamer review . . it seems they scored it based on the series as a whole. . does the score match the text?

Good thing I did not buy this at launch. This sounds bad.

Well, I got this nagging pain in my left foot, and I have trouble falling asleep at night.
(Sorry, couldn't resist)

This thread just taught me how to beat every game in 3 easy , record breaking steps :
1) Buy Game
2) Place unopened game on shelf.
3) Game Beaten!!!
except people have been through 5 of the 8 endings already... I mean thats pretty beaten?
Or should we demand every square inch every stone turned over and seen. Is THAT beaten?
