Yea what I was thinking kibs. Unless he was playing a state of the art virtual reality game where when his character gets hit that damage is reflected onto him in real life, I really doubt a game killed him.

Except for the death part, I would love to play for 50 hours non stop...too bad cross country, parkour, school, and work get in the way, oh well, someday....someday::::09::

You've earned your very own Captain Obvious pin!

Do I get a pin? I need to add to my collection of pins. I once got a pin with my name on it, I had a party later that night.

    Wish I could do that.

I agree, and at the same time disagree. Your right, stupidity was a factor. And exhaustion and heart failure were the actuall cause of death. But if he wasn't playing the game for 50 hrs straight, ( even though it technically wasnt 50hrs straight since it even said he took short naps on a make shift bed ) then he probably wouldnt of died from the exauhstion. So technically no, the game didnt litterally or physicaly kill him, but it was a factor in his death.

And another thing, i love games as much as the next gaming freak, but im not going to quit my job and sit in a chair for 50hrs straight and even sleep in the cafe just to play a game. I mean, i do need sleep, and food, and i like other things to, like spending time with my GF, and i have to go to work to make money to afford to play the games i love. Maybe he should of went to school for like game design so he could maybe be around and play games more and still get payed or somthing.

I saw an angel of death come from the clouds one day, it touched my heart and smiled, then flew away, i felt my heart turn black and cold, and embraced this new power that i now hold

Professor Hubert Farnsworth - That question is less stupid but, you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Wow, I just can't imagine how someone could stay glued to a computer screen for so long. I can barely stay on the computer for 5 hours straight without getting headaches and nausia. All I gotta say is that has got to be one of the most crappiest ways to die.

EDIT: I just saw the poll. Some of you actually put that you spend 20-30 hours gaming? Wow, I don't mean to offend anyone but do you have no life?

  • GamewizeGamewize Member Posts: 956
Talk aboutl iterally having no life... The longest I have EVER gone on a computer was when I was playing Halo multiplayer for the first time, I played 8 hours straight and when I quit I was so dazed and weak that Ive never even attempted it again. Once I get a job I can expect to really shave off hours spent on the computer.

I think it's the objective of your past self to make you cringe.

If A) We dont kill ourselvesm or,

        B) Some act of divinity doesnt kill us first

Anyway, I dont game anywhere over 5 hours, cause otherwise I get dizzy, call me weak or whatnot, but I do.

yea, I put down 20-30, but let me defend myself! it was a super awesome lan party event, on how long you could go. I think I lasted 23 or so hours before just dying from insane manic laughter (alcohol may have been involved). ::::18:: after awaking in severe pain, I still regret I did that.

The day I feel that I am addicted to games to a point where I ignore bodily funtions like hunger, thirst, and sleep is the day I quit games altogether. Some people need doctors for their obsessions. Gamers need fresh air, sunlight, and sleep.

This guy was probably severely out of shape to die just because he stayed up 50 hours.
