Launch Cap is 60!!!

WOOOO launch cap is 60 that means we will be on the same page as Korean Tera WOOOOO. Also they will be moving the lvl 58 dungeson (currently 7) up and down the lvl scale so they don't go to waste =D Fun fun fun stuff at launch =D

    Do you know if there is some kind of mentoring system? Also, do you know if the dungeons scale up at max level?

    I'm not sure, i think they will add something but i feel like i heard it but can't find anything solid on it.

    As for dungeons they don't scale. So if your over lvled your going to rip through the dungeon, but ofc you get no drops or anything. And if lvl is too different in pt no exp as well.

    The more recent MMOs allow players at cap to revisit earlier level dungeons. In Rift for example, you could visit a level 20 dungeon, only at max level the difficulty was appropriate for that level, plus it had one or two extra bosses to play around.

    That design does make sense for games that you level fast, which seems to be the case with Tera.

    I think i know what you mean, a F2P game Aika, all dungeon has like easy, normal and hard mode even the lvl 10 one. However there was a hell mode for most of them too which you couldn't do until lvl 50 or 55. (back during the 60 cap) Something like that i think is what your wondering? I think that would work i mean i won't mind going back to older dungeon in a hard verison, might not drop anything but for old time sake =P

    I really think they should have keept it at 58 and let people grind a few months on the old content. Been In CBT and there is enough right now to keep us going for atleast 2 months. Then they could patch in the 60 cap and give out the rest of the dungeons and stuff.. WOuld have been better... Because now we run the risk of people just Ignoring low level stuff and going for max level. No need to do lower level stuff when all the best gear is at 60..

    I get the feeling EME has something up their sleeve. Maybe they are gonna revamp the endgame dungeons and have different tiers.

    Over in Korea they are gonna bump up Black Tower and Kelsa's Nest to lvl 60, as BHS still wants Kelsa to be the top Bam in the game. I don't know about the Queen though, maybe she will be in that planned raid, so I guess we will have to see.


    So over in Korea the dungeons would go:

    Lvl 55 Sky Gardens
    Lvl 57 Terror Labyrinth - Easy
    Lvl 58 Terror Labyrinth - Hard
    Lvl 58 Training Camp (Get your advance glyphs in this dungeon)
    Lvl 58 Bibish's Lab
    Lvl 58 Jabalman's Dome

    Lvl 60 Black Tower - Easy
    Lvl 60 Black Tower - Hard
    Lvl 60 Temple of Valder
    Lvl 60 Abandoned Hall
    Lvl 60 Kelsa's Nest - Easy
    Lvl 60 Kelsa's Nest - Hard

    temple and hall has no hard mode? But i guess they are already fairly challenging already?

    Temple and Hall will be hard mode only. No easy mode for these dungeons !

    Lvl 60 patch went live in Korea yesterday, and it seems the mystic pets got a overhaul.


    The pets seem somewhat useful now, mystic pets now last up to 10 mins before they leave. They now have a new animation and when you unsummon them they have a death animation..lol

    I did Abandoned Church today, and dam this dungeon is hard..lol

    The very fist mob you encounter in AC is a Sorc with a huge ugly pet. The sorc is up above in the rafters while you encounter with his pet.

    The pet kept 1 shotting the lancer, while the sorc would come down and finish off the rest of the party.

    After about 15 tries we finally figured out that the Pillars have hp, and if you reduce one of the pillars hp to 10%, it reduces the dmg output of the pet and sorc. When the sorc comes down, you run behind a pillar to shield yourself from his aoe attacks.

    We quickly found out that all trash mobs were elite or BAM type, and you know how Koreans love to arrgo everything..lol

    Second boss is a crab boss, but random spikes would come out from the walls. It will one shot you if you get hit by one, thus making the fight much harder than a regular crab boss fight.

    Third boss is a Lancer type boss. When you fight the Lancer, a fountain will randomly spawn. You have to zerg it down or the fountain will spawn a Priest Boss, that will heal the Lancer and attack you. If your to slow to get to the fountain, the water will form a barrier to get to it. The fountain will randomly spawn throughout the fight.


    Halfway through the fight the lancer will have a massive aoe attack, with Ice chunks falling down from the sky, and will spawn regular sorc mobs that throw fireballs at the party. Very intense fight.

    Last boss is Capricron, after about 50 tries we finally figured out his mechanics and defeated him..lol

    got to stock upon those crystals, seem like i'll be having one fun weekend doing this with my friends after launch ^_^
