  Farming... great just what i wanted to do with my spare time, chopping down tree's to get wood to burn fish... great sounds like a really fun game. I am not a graphics only person but this is a topic that i must comment on, the graphics of Runescape are disgusting my old master system had better looking graphics. 

  The only reasons so many people play are the following:

  1. They are a child, who really knows nothing about MMORPGS or games for that matter.

  2. They play it because mommy wont give her credit card details so they can pay for a real game.

  3. Their PC can't handle any other game but Runescape

  4. (This is the worst) They are so twisted inside they actually deep down think its a good game.

  What is worse than playing Runescape?  The answer is paying to play Runescape, it is like paying for drinks of vomit (A complete waste of your money as you will not drink it and if you do drink the vomit/pay to play Runescape  then there is something seriously wrong with you).

  Gameplay is repetitive to say the least chop down some trees 100 times (great!), character customization is a complete joke (like the game).

  The combat system should make grown men cry....

  Grasp the games skill?.... i ask you What skill? the game needs no skill to play thats why 8 year olds play it.

  If Runescape is your idea of using skills then you have obviously not played many MMO's now have you.

  EDIT: Have you also realised that Runescape is not included in the forum list as no one with a rational mind considers it to be a worthy to have a place on these forums.

  See... the main reason RuneScape sucks is BECAUSE of the amount of players... RuneScape has this tendancy to attract the retards of the online gaming world... You prove this point precisely...

  Honestly, compared to any descent MMORPG's out there, RuneScape is SAD... The graphics are of shitty quality, bland and boring... the sound is annoying... the music is worse... PvP is a crappy random number gank-fest... Combat itself is a complete JOKE... Skilling is tedious... The world is small... and overall content is severely lacking, even in members...

  Really, the only reason it has so many players is because the people who are playing it can't play anything else...

  Every P2P MMORPG out there >'s Runescape... even the majority of F2P games > Runescape...

  [edit] OH, and don't even TRY telling me I don't know what I'm talking about... I played Runescape for well over a year (sadly) and have played a good majority of MMORPG's out to-date...

  Runescape classic used to be fun when no one knew about the game(actually no one under 15 new about the game). Because it was a great community with one server only and stuff. But now...................................

  Umm Yea!! I would rather play adventure on atari than play runescape!!  By the way who remembers Adventure?

  Your right, i used to play RS back in the day, before all the "new exciting skills" and the whole "Massive 3d update" and crap. Yeah there was some kids, youngest then was maybe 13, i met 1 12yr old once then, and it was a much smaller but much better communitty then. Now a days every little 6-12yr old plays RS and its nothing but a bunch of "R2H 40k type 444 to buy!!!!!!" every other text line. I played for about a year, MadMan, and then my account got hacked and i quit, i come back about a year and a half later, ( bored, had nothin to do and remembered about little ol' RS ) just to see what the big fuss over the long awaite 3d update crap that took forever, and i almost gaged. The ones who are bashing on the game, although they do tend to over exagerate a bit, are the people who have gone through the hell of " The game of a million clicks" aka runescape and have gone on to experience a world of good gaming. With games like WoW, FFXI, and many many more out there, RS just doesnt cut it, and probably never will.
