At least the press giving this game good reviews because the players seem to be ripping it pieces. I haven't played the game myself but will go with the 300+ angry fanboi's over the 6 positive corperate reviews.
Then it is your lose, as this game is just ME2 but with more! Loving it so far, especially since I just beat ME2 again last week. So it feels like I just picked up where I left off. ME1 to ME2 was a change in direction and streamlined, and ME2 to ME3 is just continuing the course layed out by ME2.
Against my better judgment I caved in and bought it today. I just... can't leave this saga unfinished, and there are several things I've heard that I just can't believe without seeing for myself.
I want it to be good, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
And FFS, how big is this stupid system update? It's been downloading for an hour...
It's awesome, though i feel my sniper is a bit OP ... I headshot almost everything .
Even the guys with the shields, you can shoot them through the hole in the shield right between the eyes.
Story is good, combat is good, scenery is good. There is nothing i don't like in ME3 so far.
All in all, definitely with the buy if you're a fan of the series.
Please.
The game has been dumbed down even further than ME2. And that's on the "play as you would play other ME games" setting or whatever it's called.
You don't even have to hack anything anymore, just click on the locked door and stand around while your omnitool does it for you.
And just like DA2, you now do most of your quests on the hub ( Citadel ) while getting occasionally sent to another planet/system.
I'm playing it solely to get the last of the story. Glad I didn't pay for this crap though.
-Letting Derek Smart work on your game is like letting Osama bin Laden work in the White House. Something will burn.-
-And on the 8th day, man created God.-
I haven't tried sniper rifle yet primarily due to trying to keep my weight limit low on equipment. I try to only carry enough weapons to where my weight gives me 100%+ power recovery rate. So I only have room for a pistol, SMG , and AR. I may switch it up, probably making the "Mail Slot" achievement easier to obtain
I agree the game is great so far. I have almost no complaints and the minor annoyances they removed I don't miss at all.
P.S. I didn't even realize it was an achievement to shoot them through the slit on the shield until recently lol.
can i play ME3 without playing me1 and 2 and still enjoy it? i am not a huge bioware fan but this game looks good.
Hero Evermore
Guild Master of Dragonspine since 1982.
Playing Path of Exile and deeply in love with it.
I'd imagine you should be fine for the most part. The game has a indepth codex to explain past events and lore in detail. I'd say it will be difficult to know who your talking to sometimes at first, but the overall gameplay is fun for a third person shooter / RPG hybrid. Although at the very least I'd recommend playing ME2 (considerably cheaper at the moment) and see if you like the game. ME3 is really just like ME2, but with the action revved up.
The game was great. Story done decently well, production value done well.
Climactic scenes were great, story leading up to the end was fantastic...
...then the endings completely ruined it - no closure,
**SPOILER**
basically everyone dies and, oh yeah, everyone is stuck in our galaxy because the Mass Relays go down no matter what ending.
From the review, it sounds amazing. However, at the end of the day, you are shooting at computer AI, which should become predictable.
Therefore, I think PvP-centered games are the way ahead.
Bioware : From legend to joke
No, recieved as a gift.
As far as if it's worth it, just to finish the story yeah, but not at full price.
Also, don't let anyone tell you the day one DLC "From Ash" is just "fluff" trying to defend EAware's honor. Without it, you lose a lot of the story background. It most definitely should have been part of the main game and not cut as DLC ( the DLC I did walk the plank for ).

This series has a great story, well worth playing the previous games if u can...
...it's just a pitty that EA decided to sell it online only through their innovative and ground breaking online store named after the company that created the Ultima ( Richard Garriot ) series... ORIGIN.
Since i rather dislike being forced to do stuff other's want me to, and prefering to make my own choices, i decided to wait until the game shows up in Steam (probably 1 year from now).
In my opinion if you do not play the first two you will have no conenction to the characters and you will not feel their loss keenly. As never having known them or learnt to love then how will you form any bond and miss them.
If you don't like bioware games your not going to like ME3.
I will not play a game with a cash shop ever again. A dev job should be to make the game better not make me pay so it sucks less.
Thats not true
****SPOILER******
People die based on how you set up your squad in one of the best climax scenes Ive played in a console game. In my run I saved 4 out 10. Now you can read on the Internet how to have the 'perfect' run, but that spoils the experience imo.
Then my 360 died and I lost my saves :-( Havent worked up the gumption to play again, but would want to in order to get the best out of ME3.
My favorite part of ME2 were the mini-games for haking and such. I thought making secondary skills more active was a smart move on BW part. Maybe they can be activated in an options setting?
Boy: Why can't I talk to Him?
Mom: We don't talk to Priests.
As if it could exist, without being payed for.
F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing.
Even telemarketers wouldn't think that.
It costs money to play. Therefore P2W.
Actually, if you DO like Bioware games, you're not going to like ME3.
This is an EAware game.
