"A bunch of players beating up on one boss is not heroic."

    lol.

This game went wrong with just about everything. If they wanted a more "heroic" boss experience, they should've made it where a group had to infiltrate, attack, and/or defend from an army of NPCs, e.g., 100-200 Sand People charging in from the T. Fort etc. It's too bad that this extremely small group-game is not capable of large-scale innovation.

SWTOR really is the small story version of WoW. With the constant feedback, ideas/concerns, and worry about lack of social environment from their community since 2008, I cannot believe the current state of the game.

Yeah, it's amazing how many things the devs said have come back to bite them in the ass after the game launched to the masses.

Amazing isnt it. They put up a link to a livestream which hasn't even happened yet, and we alreay have 3 posts in the thread from 3 people who dont even play this game, cutting it down. Can they be any more obvious haters?

I played SWTOR. My subscription ended and I have no desire to re-subscribe. I'm not hating on it just to hate it. I'm hating on it because of their blatant bullshit.

I was part of their pre-release community since Oct. 08. I kept on hearing, "Yes. This is going to be a true MMO."

There is nothing grand about this game. Other than story, which really ended up just being long-winded explanations on why we have to click on supply crates or collect bear claws, this game offers nothing grand.

The maps are tiny and funneled, PvP is nothing more than 3 redundant Warzones with a laggy Ilum, Space feels like they just tacked on some old Starship game that got put under the table in the late 90s etc.

From the embarrassing typecasting to the enter co'op feel, I've played much of this game and am completely capable of voicing why I don't like SWTOR.

Speaking of Blatant Bullshit. Lets see Hoth Size of all of Rift and OPEN. This is just one Planet.

"crossing a map square took ca 30 seconds, which makes the normal run speed 200/30 = 6.67 m/s or 14.9 miiles/hour, which puts it slightly above WoW (14.4 mi/h) and LotrO (14.6 mi/h).

As for size, Hoth seems to be the size of Rift's world, which comes close to rough estimations I made myself. Using some maps of some other normal planets I have, my estimations point in the direction of SWTOR's total worldsize to be 2-3 times WoW vanilla." MMOMAVERICK

ZERO - Open Rectangle - Exhaustion zones are on the map edges. Any level 14 player can check this.

Amazing since my sub is still good for another 2 weeks before the cancellation kicks in.

Personally I haven’t found Rifts zones to be all that small. One planet all the size of Rift just sounds ridiculous. No wonder players complain they never see anyone and that there's no world PVP. I think that Ember Isle alone is pretty good size. I figure it would take me a few hours to go through all the land mass in Rift. Doing that for quests in one zone in SWTOR would totally aggravate me. So much useless space it sounds. I wonder if pure land mass is part of the reason it's so lifeless. Adding detail to that kind of size would be daunting.

World PvP would be nice for Star Wars with all that land.  When I was on Tat, there was hardly anyone in the areas I visited; In my 40+ levels I never came across the opposite faction that was a let down.

The same goes for Vanguard, even at its peak it was hard to find other players or run into them because of the size of maps. But if i ahve to chose between tiny zones of Rift and SWTOR / Vanguard huge size of zones i would always go with the later.

Well there are other issues besides the size of the planets that causes this one. Like Tatoinne, both factions part of the planet are seperated with big canyons to keep them apart. You can get to each other through the Dune Sea or by crossing the PvP area, but even then you may not see them.

Some of the planets are pretty much 100% phased between factions. The NPCs are different, the mobs are different, the quests are different, the maps are the same. I can litterally walk my Republic toon to stand next to my freinds Imp toon on some planets, and we never see each other.

I haven't found out why everythign is phased so much, but I am willing to bet most dont even realize it until you try to go find a special mob to kill and realize it isnt even the same town you seen on the other side.
