I can't find a MMORPG that doesnt have major flaws... Heres a list of games I've tried, sorta in order:
Anarchy Online
I loved it while it lasted, but eventualy people with items 50 levels over theirs and the fact you can easily get a mil credits from a nice veteran kinda ruined the game for me. Also my main was an Atrox Trader, and that says something about my play experience right there.
World of Warcraft
Once again, I loved it while it lasted (except much more then AO) but it got pretty boring after a while... The quests are the same thing over and over. Grinding to finish a quest isnt much better then just plain grinding. Plus, Scifi really is my genre.
MxO
I was in the beta for a week or two, but it lagged unbearably bad till I upgraded to a full gig of memory. Then my video card craped out the next day (long story). I think I might start playing again but I've been hearing some horrible reviews even though half the stuff they say is bull. For example: it hardly lags if you have a nice computer/connection, and the graphics are amazing for an MMORPG once again if you have a nice computer/connection. Most people who review this game must not be MMO players. Plus it combines three of my favorite things: good SciFi, The Matrix, and computers.
ROSE Online
Least fun Ive ever had playing a MMORPG... Whats the point if most of the people playing are AFK and trying to sell you crap you can buy for less at the NPCs?
EVE Online
Did the trial. I love the game, its just most of the time it feels like I'd have more fun playing EV Nova in a window with AIM open. If I played the game for a few months I know I'd get into it, I just dont know if Id get through those few months.
Second Life
I might have enjoyed it more if I wasnt stuck on the Teen Grid. Not much fun unless your good at buildign stuff and/or can script.
Dark Age of Camelot
Did the trial. Appearantly 44 classes means lets argue over why all of them suck 24/7. I dont really have much more to say.
Games that I know I probably dont want to play:
Star Wars Galaxies
Whats the point if everyone is a Jedi?
City of Heros
Maybe if they ever stop the drastic changes.
Guild Wars
Hehe, no.
Really the question is, are there any great MMOs out there?! All of the ones I want to play havnt come out yet...
