I've played some MMO'S in the past and the ones that im looking at rigth know are Matrix Online and Everquest 2 if you can post plz give points that are good about one game and bad about the othere i don't whant any that are just one of the games,things that intrest me ou (matrix online:gameplay and story)(everquest 2 the skills)so those 2 things are the most inportent to me and if you can tel me wich one you like more and y it is good and the othere is bad that would make me happy

I'd say Everquest 2!
Edit: Hmm maybe you could try SWG too...it's a pretty good game.
Well since I have played both and you have only given those two choices. I say EQ2.
The reason why is eq2 is fun as long as your with friends, Its not that i got bored with eq2 but rather I got lonely. With matrix though ugh repetative missions same buildings. The only thing it has going for it are the live events and hyperjump, but in the end not nearly as imersive and non repedative and fun as eq2. I hope this helps.
Oh and techincally mxo is still owned by WB, but rather WB is sleeping with SOE and allowing them to run it and such. The only reason why SOE is allowing this is so they can get rights from WB to use there other genres. quite a marriage if you ask me.

The main feature of EQ2 is team play and team spirit-that's good there, best of all I have seen.If you like team play,EQ2 is the best choice for you.

I've never played EQ2 so can't comment on that, however if there is a choice between The Matrix Online and staring at the wall then the wall wins.

Pay $21.95 a month and play EQ2, EQ, SWG, MxO, PlanetSide, Tanarus, Infantry, EQOA and several others
On a more serious note. This is a silly question. MxO is, even by it's own fans admission, one of the worst games to release in a long long time. I'd steer clear of it.
Personally I think EQ2 is the best fantasy MMORPG currently available. Anyone who's tried it recently will tell you that it's vastly improved in just the last 6 months alone and the new expansion is just pure quality (I'm in the beta). The PVP is nice, not the greatest ever, but it's pretty good and a lot of fun. The new combat revamp going in is also pretty good so far, very well done actually.
I'm pretty jazzed about it. It's going to add to EQ2 a lot of the intangibles that it was missing. It's already worlds better than it was at release and this expansion is just going to add that much more quality to the game. SOE has really outdone themselves with it.
I am so glad I had the SOE All Access Pass so that I can play both SWG and EQ2 and still enjoy PlanetSide occasionally.

As shamefull as it may sound, this isn't all the far from the truth. Sadly MxO went from being a game with an amazing amount of potential to sheer mind numbing game play and failure in record time.
I was a huge supporter all the way through beta and I still to this very day hold and pay for an account in hopes that at some point, sometime they can make something of this game. I'd say if you are tempted to play MxO don't ruin it for yourself and wait to see if SOE is going to do anything with this possible little gem of a game, if things start looking up and you are still playing EQ2 (if thats the way you want to go still) you can add MxO to SOE's all access plan and give it a shot so your not spending as much cash to try it out.

Ok i do reccomend Matrix Online but here are some good reasons
I find EQ 2 to be to repeptitive especially if u cant decide your class and race since every single race and class starts the first 6 lvls the same thats plain annoying.
BUt EQ 2 has an advanced crafting system which i find quite interesting but time consuming
Eq 2 also intruduces letting every race be every class which is very fun having an Iksar Pally but u have to do LONG quests to betray good or evil
Matrix Online bringing the world of Gunz into a real MMO i find Matrix is the best new Sci-Fi mmo that ever came out. Slow at first but amazingly fun
Get a few friends in this game and get the super jump and just bring people to u and kill them.
The coolest thing about this game is its so different from other MMos that make u hunt out in wilderness instead u kill things around town doing tons of fun quests and infact prolly the coolest moves ive ever seen

To bring the world of Matrix Online to your home requires one things Have a good connection and a Good Computer same thing for EQ 2 these games have incredibly high specs and its amazingly annoying to find the right video cards for EQ 2 only like 10 vid cars work for it
Well my reccomendation is deffinently Matrix Online its alot more fun then EQ 2 since EQ 2 is EQ over again with more to do and EQ is orginal we need guns nowadays have fun hunting!
Everquest2 because it is funded well by SOE and it is constantly getting rich with new content. Game is much better now then it was in the beginning.
No other game out there cranks outs content like EQ2 does and an expansion is due in less then a month now.

I was in MxO Closed beta way back in the day. For me the game had some excellant potential. I like'd the idea of it quite a bit for an mmo.
MxO strong points
-Excellant Graphics
-Excellant character creation and to ways make your character stand apart instead of looking like everything else
-Decent starting time to get to good skills, doesn't take too long.
-Hyperjump is the win
-live events
MxO Weak points
-Graphics wear on you after a while. Same few buildings, same basic layout, same textures on everything keeps it from looking like a city.
-the city really doesn't feel like the Matrix City in the Movies, it feels more dark and repetitive then you'd think it should
-Weak mission system that still has some bugs.
-Repetitive missions.
-It seems more people log on and stand around the phone booths then actually go out and play.
-It can be hard to hook up with a "crew" or its version of Guild
-General chat seems a bit lacking to me, and the chat system still seems a bit weak
-Combat system still seems more of a button mashing then tatical or strategic. Is very weak in my opinion
EQ2 Strong points
-decent graphics, Lots of variations, different zones feel different and look different
-Ton's of quests, and lots of items available by quests.
-Easy to get the hang of things
-Excellant crafting system that will allow you to make useful items for yourself, if you take the time on Newb isle you can make some very decent items for your level on the main land.
-Lots of people, more community and interaction then MxO.
-Variety
EQ2 Weak Points
-Graphics are a bit on the mediocre side in my opinion, not a big deal to me.
-not as much customization for your character, they still tend to look alike.
-Too Many quests. There are more quests per square inch in this game then any i've seen. Its hard to keep up and manage the quests at first till you get the hang of it. It can be hard to find quests you want to do for items.
-Grouping system was kinda sucky when I played but may be better now.
-can only solo effectively to about 20 where various dungeon quests become very hard, nie unto impossible to solo.
-This too can be hard to find a good group or guild, and you can easily be outpaced by other guild members your level if you take too much time off causing issues when you need to do quests.
That's just my assesment.
I say EQ2, MxO is way to repetetive.
EQ2 is the best game out there for:
- Graphics.
- Community oriented players.
MxO...errr...I need to see 1 positive feedback that hit me as right so far...the combat system is rumored to be nice...but, I dont know anyone who speak nicely of MxO in RL...at best they say neutral comments.

IMO wait til 12 sept and buy the Desert of Flames pack. This will include the full game as well as the exspansion that will have PvP (arena based).
