I have just gotten a new computer and it has the 64-bit version of windows on it. But I am having problems with games on it. Whenever I try to play a game I get this green bar on the side of the screen, please help. How do I get rid of it.
Cannibalistic cows eat cows. Cannibalistic people eat people. Cannibalistic cannibals eat cannibals. So why are there cannibals?
I know my current Windows XP had some problems installing older 16-bit software (even stuff like Max Payne). I did some researching and it turns out that my system32 folder was missing a file. Been missing that file for the whole 2 years I've had it. Oddly enough, the file I was missing was in the WINDOWS epair folder, so I copied it from there to WINDOWSsystem32 and I was fine.
I think the file was config.nt ... I don't know if that helps you specifically, but it might help other people

Have you reinstalled your graphics card's drivers? Have you downloaded all the windows updates?

Sorry, can't help you. I have a computer with XP64, but it's a work computer, so no games. I absolutely love it though. Such a good OS! *drools*
