Hello all,
I was wondering if there was a large amount of roleplaying to EVE Online, I could see that Roleplaying would suit well in EVE but wasn't fully sure if it happens much. since SWG i have been searching for a good rp community {WoW rp servers are filled mostly with non roleplayers and young children who prat about}. Though i have been on the trial i am considering to try the game. I really enjoy the RP factor of Corporations, its a nice idea and i love the business aspect as you make your money in space.
Well anyway if anyone would be kind enough to tell me much about any roleplaying or even tell me of any EVE online rp sites that would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks for reading
Saitan Mar.

Just because there are no Avatars running around in stations doesn't mean there is no RP in EVE - it just means its harder to get into it. Actually there are quite a lot of RP corps in EVE - from Minmatar Freedom Fighters to Blood Raider friendly pirates, though quality of the corps varies.
There is a stickied thread in the recruitment channel in the official EVE forum, listing all major RP corps in the game. Check that out and good luck in fining a fitting corp.

There is a lot of roleplay corps in Eve. I think their are 4 or so roleplay alliances with some 1000+ players in total. There is also
Look at the Eve forums. 'Intergallactic Summit'. 100's of posts every day.
The recruitment forums also has a sticky with a list of all the roleplay corps and alliances. Loads to choose from.
Even the large PvP alliances who wouldn't consider themselves roleplayers are roleplaying to some extent by building empires and protecting their area of claimed space etc. Eve kinda forces some sort of roleplay.
The event team also generates a continuing storyline and if your involved in a part of it like I have been this its great fun.
Me, I'm a Blood Raider.
Well, the old joke was if someone approached you (in fantasy setting games) saying "greetins fair traveler, how art thou" etc. In EVE anyone can be roleplaying, until OOG or meta-game talk enters the conversation.

Exactly my point.
There's plenty, you just have to find the right corp. I've been involved in various RP corps for a long time in EVE and it's blast: we have wars with other RP corps, take the fight onto the forums as well and engage in some 'forum PvP' and the like ... it's great fun. EVE has huge opportunities for RPing if you find the right corp.
