Ultima Online... Now What?

I have played UO (Ultima Online) for about 7 years, its gone down hill such a lot since i started. and from today i have been banned... So What game do i play now?
- im after a easy gaming platform
- player v's player is a must
- player killing is also highly wanted
- lots of players
- able do to more than just pvp
- not just do quest after quest
if anyone can let me know about a few games while im also looking.

As many people will say if you like UO you'll probally like SWG
Also SWG has alot to do!
eve online is all about gaining money and build power up in the galaxy features you will like:
- No grinding just train skills
- No loevels
- Forced PVP
- loot people you've killed
- Corps can control areas of the galaxy
etc etc.
Them 2 games are the ones u'll probally most like

SWG is close to Ultima. But all those jedis running around just killed it for me.
Pros
Crafting & resources - best next to UO
Skill based level system - can max a character in 2 weeks
Faction PvP - it is very fun but now it feels very jedi-orientated i.e no jedi - no win

its a sony game.
Too many jedi characters from pre-combat upgrade hologrind accounts. Everyone and their dog is a jedi, and if you want to be one, its gonna take you about 4 - 5 months to get there. PvP is centered around jedi as they are so rampant. Sadly with the changes, a player doesn't stand a chance vs a Jedi.
Alternatives
I speak for myself here, but I left ultima after that fateful P16 and ever since I haven't been able to find a game to match the fun I had. SWG came close, its worth a try but I must admit I am still looking for that magic game that fills the gap where ultima was.

I would suggest trying:
SWG, EVE, DAOC, AO, EQ2, WOW
All have many things besides just PVP
All have PVP in one form or another (or will soon in the case of EQ2).
All have decent populations.

i have tryed SWQ and i found it not to bad, apart from i know there si alot of poeple who play, but i dont think i saw more than 10 people within an hour...
my dad has a master bounty hunter (meaning nothing to me really) but he dont want to play in anymore. he has told me something about a big change in the game and its better in some things but harder, im not so sure ill give it a go tho.
i would like to get a game at the start like i did UO, so ill be trying betas etc... but if someone knows of one i should really try please let me know
If you will play betas i suggest Irth Online which is pretty close to UO.
There is always Roma Victor if you are into the Roman time....

I believe a player run economy...btw NPC Vendors won't accept crap items just for you to know!
Its real time combat (first person type really but you can play in 3rd person, just not that well)
THe game has an intense crafting system....to make spear...first u need the wood then you need the resources for the spear tip piece. Even a chair...you will need nails and wood. Thats how in depth crafting goes
Other then that command vast NPC armies in large scale battles and battle it out with other enemy players.
I believe you can loot everything from a person.
One final thing you can even be slave...I believe you are a slave at the begining of your character's life in the game...and who knows maybe in the future you may end up as Emperor. It is rumoured that the first person to take command as emperor will be KFR (the lead developer of the game).

What did you do to get banned? I wouldn't want to recommend any game I play if you were banned for duping or hacking heh heh.

well can try shadowbane or ac1 both were similar to uo imo. Both lack players now sb is pvp oriented political clan warefare. Ac1 i dont know much about except some folks spoke of darktide was the next uo now i think its broke like uo 8(.

it was infact duping...
i found out by mistake and thought that it cant be that easy to do... but it was, and i got banned with a group of mates, so we all looking for a new game :P
roman times.... ill sure give it a go, as long as there is the pvp and i can do team play, its all ok :P

Running a evil 3rd party app (in reality we call it UOA wich is legal according to the ToS)

Irth will not have Open pvp irth will have faction pvp , and they have a safe mode race to play

I also have 7-8 years of UO under my belt.
I spent an hour downloading and installing the Irth Beta. I spent 5 minutes playing it, and I am a patient person. I also know the difference between a beta and a demo very well.
