TERA fans trolling lol "OMG this F2P isn't as good as our P2P title, trololololo". You guys are pretty desperate to make TERA look good if you have to bash a F2P to do it.
How exactly am I trolling? We've come to the understanding that you don't troll when you rail on TERA because you get so defensive about it and then when we do the same thing you do to another game we are the trolls?
Please, explain this.
Don't remember saying you specificly, learn to read, son.
Why do you try to hide your blatant hypocrisy? You posted it directly under me and Deron's posts that aredefending TERA while pointing out raiderZs flaws shortly after we made them.
It was obviously directed at us regardless of what you say.

You sir have no room to talk, heh.
I did honestly come to this game section to play Raiderz. Then I read the anti-TERA, I mean, RaiderZ article and had to comment.

Actually I was speaking more towards, Nayda since someone referenced him being just like me, but whatever. =P

You think you would quote Nadya then considering the post was made over a page ago instead of just posting that post directed at TERA fans as a whole underneath the posts of two, apparent TERA fans.

2 days ago, I made a grown man get depressed to the point of tears cause I didn't laugh at his joke on the boards that I moderate. So, I seem to have that effect on things.
Just so I don't become what I laugh at on the TERA forums let me say this:
If I was looking for a F2P game I would look at RaiderZ first. Action combat makes playing much more fun and darn it, if only I could get an alpha key I would love to test it and at least be a bug hunter until May.

I don't have a problem with RaiderZ either, it's good for what it is, but this thread is about comparing TERA and Raiderz...more or less.
So obviously I come in with my obvious points of why I believe TERA is a far superior game, doesn't mean RaiderZ is bad.

I am having as much fun in Raiderz as I did in Tera's beta .I think it is in the same ballpark, maybe not graphically but combat mechanics and such yes.
Combat animations, reactiveness is horrid, even Vindictus does it better than this, and the crafting and questing system is about as F2P as it gets, im not saying im a big fan of quests in TERA, but Raiderz to me is a typical PWE game, and the only reason I could see anyone picking this up is if you can't afford to play TERA.
Also the whole hybrid class system is just a smokescreen covering for the limitations that the game really has.
Anyways its not my job to lecture anyone about what to like or dislike, but Raiderz seemed incredibly "discount" to me.
I have to agree with Velera, the animations were pretty clunky and felt like a robot and the reactiveness in abilites is hands down poor. To me the game screams budget and the fact that I could only stand about 10 levels before getting off does not peek my interest either. Now I played Tera as well and felt that it was a overall better game.
The quests are similar but the way they are presented in RaiderZ is a bad choice.
I also agree with the comment about the hybrid class system. It feels like they opened it up to be original but instead feels like a ticket out of having to make the classes too deep.
Tera has it's downfalls too, but I think Raiderz is a step in the wrong direction.

... you never even played the game yet?
Nope, that's why I came here in the first place and found the lovely article. So to answer you next question: there is no secret MMO money tree. A company like PWE is not going to place as much funding and resources into a game MADE for F2P. No smart company ever will. Aside from the finge, the most your going to hear is "it's a great game...for a F2P title".
That aside I still want to play it. Once I do I will give a 100% honest comparison and it won't have blue intro sentences.

I prefer Vindictus myself, don't see why people are so hard up over "open world". Open world has much more draw backs then it does benefits compared to dungeon runners.

I'm one of those open world guys. I guess I'm still that fantasy nerd who gets into the emmersion part. I want a world I can "live in" a few hours a night and feel like I'm a small part of a bigger story. I just don't get that with "hub" games, even GW bothered me. Feels too much like a console game.
i agree open world and dungeon crawlers feel completely different. games like dragon nest vindictus and c9 reminds me of diablo which open world gives off the feeling of wow, everquest, ff11 etc...
if you can compare the recent f2play games c9 feels like much more well thought and made than raiderz by far if you played both games.
although you can "freely" choose your skills alot of them dont go well together really and you feel a lack of skills to use compared to other games. combat seems it didnt change much from lvl 5 to lvl 25 just dodge click dodge click
tera feels much more complete, those of you who say raiderz's quest system is better you obviously havent played through the quest line in tera it utilizes alot more options and different types of quests than raiderz.

Ohm i think, just an opinion, Raiderz is more funn, i played bouth, and tera i had the feeling it was aion, dunno why but thats how i feel it, not a bad game at all but i guess i was expecting more. then i downloaded raiderz, and what a surprise, i was very happy with it, the gameplay was really new to me, and i enjoy it all the way, the quest system was pretty great aswell. so i guess i liked more Raiderz.
In concern about the skills, the game is only in ALPHA, so right now we can only test lv 25, but i been reading about it and there are 70+ levels so way many more skills. I also have been informed that there exist ranger and assasin class, they just didnt include it in the Alpha test.
Cant wait for the open beta, To me Raiderz is the way to go.
-Having every class have the ability to dodge and block in my opinion is worse.
- Music is worse.
-Effects are worse.
-The client is WAYYYY smaller, meaning there will be way less content, probably nothing in comparison to TERA, unless that 4GB file is still not the full client, even then TERAs 23.4GB client is not even our full client lol.
In short, it's the poor mans TERA and lacks in almost every aspect IMO, I fail to believe anyone who has played TERA to higher levels or at least followed people through many of the higher levels in streams could actually think RaiderZ is better.
Oh also, enjoy your P2W.

Ah , one more cool thing about RaiderZ
The enemy AI is actually thinking and reacting to you. (TERA is only spamming preset attacks)
I was really amazed when first mob jumped out to dodge my attack or blocked me.
Have you even played TERA? I've had multiple mobs move out of the way or block lol...some even backflipped out of the way.
LOL, teras download will be bigger then raiderz just because of the gfx, not because of anything else. Tera does have better gfx and its a beautiful game. The Animation are fine and not any worst then tera. Having every class dodge and block makes it a even playing ground and not having to waste points to spec in it is great, unlike tera. I'm sure gfx will get better and the effects are fine. Yes somethings need work and I'm sure they will get it up and running really good in the next beta. Dodge does need work and other things im sure.
If you think TERA's grafics alone make it that much bigger in terms of GB than RaiderZ, you are sadly mistaken. There is no way for TERA to only have 4 GB worth of content when the actual game is 23.4 GB, how much space do unreal engine graphics take in this case? Almost 20 GB, right? Yeah give me a break!
I've played both. Both have pros and cons. TERA "feels" like a AA game (not quite AAA), while RaiderZ "feels" like a F2P. However, it's a lot better than most F2Ps I've played. The games are not miles apart. I dropped $5 for the preorder so I could play TERA's beta. I was underwhelmed. I won't be buying the game upon release. I personally don't understand why anyone would pay $60 plus a mo. fee when they could play RaiderZ for free and the games are very similar. To some it will be worth it to fork over the cash for TERA--not for me. Neither game is total crap. RaiderZ has a lot of positives that make it enjoyable for a F2P. I can see why a lot of ppl like the combat of RaiderZ better even though it feels a little cheaper. The mob AI is good and knocking the weapons of the monsters is cool. Plus gathering crafting mats doesn't feel like work.

The long-term unemployed monster?
I am just having fun doing exactly what you do on the TERA forums, starting to see why you do it.
Bash the game, someone calls you a troll, defend yourself outright that you don't hate the game etc.
See the similarities here? Just reversed roles.
Not exactly, cause I'm not defending RaiderZ. I'm just pointing out that it's funny that you're doing what I do.
