Anyways, my solution was to get out of the mmo genre. I haven't played since RIFT beta testing. I play console games and a lot of League of Legends.

I'm pretty sure after playing WoW for 5+ years I just got burnt out on mmo's, and I doubt i'll play one again aside from Archeage.

    Everyone is different though.

I am the same with DAOC with the PVP, nothing can just compare, at times it`s just better to stay with the game you love and take a break.

it is VERY hard to find PvP as great as DAoC, im the same way, im currently on a break from DAoC, but i intend to re-sub here soon before GW2 launches, im hoping WvWvW will be comparable. 2 faction PvP is just bland compared to 3 faction fights.

Aye very true! I hope GW2 hits it on the head, if not well that will probly be the last we will see 3 faction fighting. I will probly play DAOC a bit before GW2 comes out also.

You can buy all of guild wars and its xpacs for about $40.00 right now. That should keep you busy for awhile.

IF you dont' mind playing some Single player RPGs the Witcher 2 and Dark Souls are both worth getting.

Ah, how for heaven can old gw replace wow nostalgia? It is like jumping from horse on donkey

I think nothing will replace your wow nostalgia in next years--well, maybe just maybe if one game comes out--Oblivion online or nex wow expansion. Well, after reading latest reviews about new wow expansion i think it can be the best one so you can have a fun for year or more

Nothing can replace vanilla wow and tbc, but for 40 bucks its not bad for the bit of enjoyment it provides you. They even offer a 10 hour trial for guild wars if you dont' want to buy it right out.

The game you're looking for is Allods. Seriously. Try it.

Rift's main focus for me were the rifts.. which got boring after level 15.

SWTOR on the other hand is Star Wars.  I mean seriously, Star Wars!  I enjoyed it, but never subscribed.

Best wait for Guild Wars 2 and TERA, if you're not interested in SWTOR.  GW2 will be my new MMO, mainly due to it being B2P and not subscription based.  (And I have a GW account with nearly a 7 year old character in it)

I played an insane amount of WoW from the beta, through a few years after. It was a great game and revolutionized a lot of the mechanics we see in MMOs today. The problem for me, however, was the fact that that same gameplay is found in SO many games now without much innovation of their own.

Like you, Ive tried pretty much everything that is big enough for me to have heard of it, both f2p and subscription based. Many people are suggesting Rift or swtor. If you're looking for gameplay almost exactly like WoW, either one would be a good choice. But my problem is both got boring FAST. It's the same old feel with different graphics.

Personally, I've been venturing more to the action side of MMOs. TERA has been fun. There is more blocking, dodging, timing, and aiming involved compared to traditional MMOs which have a targeting system.

Another fun one has been the RaiderZ alpha. I know being PWE and a f2p is a turn-off for a lot of people, but it really is worth a try. Reminds me of Monster Hunter on the Wii a bit. And yep, it's in alpha here (not even beta yet). For an alpha it plays well, but there are glitches that they are working on.
