God this is such a great game which more people would play it. Has a solid playerbase but needs more people. Alot of people turn away after they try it first cause the controls are hard to learn and get good at even tho they are not.

Really a great game learning curve is pretty good experirenced players will dance around u like a freaking russian dancer but just proves that there is a great balance and a really sharp all round feel.  Game is responsive and fun and is essentially F2P ala LoL.  Agame u gotta stick with for  a few weeks to really start having fun probably the reason why it hasnt exploded in the mass media!

I liked this game a lot, the playerbase isn't too small around 1k people online at almost all times. The only issue with it is that after a certain point in the day nobody plays the conquest maps, it's all just the arena and team stuff which is fun, but variety is taken out because of that. I wish more people would give this a try, it's really fun.

this game is awesome and it's a shame it doesn't have a very large player base. the community is tight tho and very helpful.

there is a channel run by high level players providing help for beginners, just /join the channel 'help' in game.

this game can be frustrating at first because you don't know anything but heh it's the same for any competitive game i guess.

if your aim is bad, i'm afraid this game will not suit you at all as everysingle spell is a skill shot. just practice and get used to the game.

if you can get past the frustration of getting butchered left and right in the beginning, i can assure you that you will enjoy this game. best way to enjoy it is to play with friends, do some practice games with and versus them to learn the heroes and their abilities, play vs the bots. play all the heroes (they are all playable in pratice mode) a few times just to get used to them.

the learning curve is very steep but once you understand who does what, everything starts to make sense and you can then learn to position yourself better, and maybe focus on one or two hero to master.

few other things worth mentionning imo and that weren't covered in the review :

    - there are tournaments everyday (2v2 and 3v3), you just need to create a team and after that head over to the in game tournament registration page.

    - the game was in the last two dreamhacks with $10k up for grab  (dhw 2011 and dhs 2011) and there are sponsored teams (LLL, 4Kings, dignitas, etc).

    - there are other game modes that can be played : capture the relic (similar to a capture the flag) and conquest (similar to a domination match in battlefield/call of duty)

    - the game is also available in the steam free to play tab.

there are some people streaming blc on twitch and own3d. and the game is featured in the new show run by 2gd, d.appolo and semmler along with quakelive, starcraft 2 and dota 2 every sunday ()

there is a community run tournament this week end with $500 up for grab and some keys to unlock new heroes will be given to people randomly thru the week end.

    here is the trailer :

links are in the video description with all the infos you need.

    make sure to tune in.

Ya I played this for a few months, GREAT high skill game, and yes you will get tooled in no practice games outside of your ranking, so take your time, learn the combo's, the juking, and timing, its such an underrated game, and free!!!
