This sounds really good!
I may give it a try, only thing that kept me from dl'ing it so far is I hear its a very large download.
16gb
the Aion Version 2. something was 11 GB plus patch. Ouch if the new one is 16 gb.
I've subbed twice already in the past, this will have me back for good. Nice bloopers in the end.

So regarding the EU aion, is the game not "Truly Free" now? Because while you can access EVERY instance in the game, the cooldown on some instances is up to 4 days while if you "buy" their 30-days gold pack then the cooldown on instances is the normal time. And @3:08 did they really trademark the words "Truly Free" ?! o.O
Other than to kill time, ain't much point in investing time into this game when there are potentially better games just on the horizon
Looking forward to EQL and EQN.
Dont be suckered in by this. They have already proven they are more than willing to make there cash shop P2W. I say this as a former Aion player who left the game when they added guaranted enchantment stone supplements into there cash shop. These items gave a very large in game advantage compared to those who went without and had to otherwise dump many MONTHS worth of kinah into there gear for the mere potential (no guarentee) for the same outcome. There are tons of stories of people who had to grind kinah for months in game only to use the kinah to attempt to upgrade there gear and yet only managed to gain nothing or in some cases even made there gear worse depending on the enchantment lvl already on the gear. The level playing field was at least a matter of luck, but when the cash shop 100% chance supplements came out, it gave a clear advantage to those who purchased them saving them weeks/months of grinding. Anyone who claims this was not P2W is either normally lucky and cant appreciate thier fortune and didnt feel they had to buy them, or they are satisfied with P2W pvp based games where they have the money themselves to have the advantage.
I may give it a try?
Well, they have my attention. SOE really dropped the ball on EQ1's roll out, completely segregates the community and the subscribing populace has become a mob mentality in both EQ1 and EQ2 alienating the ftp crowd.
Seems like AION may have the right ideas backing them.
This is exactly what I was thinking. Someone please post it on the Vanguard forums in response to them saying they will use the same model as EQ1 / EQ2. Unfortunately you cant post on Vanguards forums without being a subscriber.
After 30 mins of playing the game i quit, i'm glad i didn't buy this when it came out because it's not worth it
I'll deffinitly jump back on my Charecter and play this in between Guild wars 2 beta weekends, but when GW2 comes out, no other game matters anymore. XD
Can't wait to see how true they kept to the origenal housing previews back when they released the 2.0 Vision video.

I played this game when it first came out, and just got tired of paying a sub after awhile. Now I am back for good. Love the ftp as I am playing a lot of the old games I abandoned long ago.
The truly free is as illusive as it sounds.
