For those of us who don't want to spend what seemed like forever to find out where you sign up!

Going to be interesting how they deal with people using exploits to kill other players because it always happens, especially with small shops like this.
I wonder how they are going to handle logoffs, Eve has always had a problem with those, no way to distinguish a logoff from an internet disconnection.
Permadeath just seems like a support nightmare if you ask me.
Permadeath?
Youza. I'll admit it... too hardcore for me. Couldn't pass faster.
I play too casually to be willing to lose my character in any game that I invest my time into building. I won't even play Diablo 2 hardcore.
the guy in the video doesnt sound to excited when he talks about the game................lol ill pass for now.
hi toolowdown71,

HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks guys
Thanks!
I signed up immeditely. I have been dreaming of a game like this. I just hope they limit chat to the immediate area to really give the feeling of community. There are so many possibilities here.
i kinda like a large chat range. haven and hearth has only local chat in that if you see the person you can talk to them... it makes the game feel dead and empty.
while i dont want a chat like WoW's where you hear people across the world from you.. being able to talk to people in a "town" or in the given area (if they use the grid system they had in HnH) would go a long way in making the game feel more populated and alive..
I do want to get into the beta, but I dont want to annoy my friends either
....time to turn on more 3 pcs in my house

why do you need 3 pcs? the signup gives you a Ref link via your email.. so you actually only need 1 pc but even spamming 40 people to signup with the link doesnt mean you have a spot in the beta.. (for all we know this might be an open access beta anyway.. or a crappy marketing beta)
Just to simulate the situation more properly
I doubt the chances will get higher either as it is very easily exploitable

yup it is. hence why i wonder if this is just a marketing beta... dont generally see ref links for games for actual testing betas. least not all the time, i signed up to this beta as i want to test the game out.. see how much its like HnH.
but i dont really wish to spam friends with it.. like people do farm ville crap lol personally though they could have done this "signup" system alot better. to get around people abusing it, as im sure its already been abused by now lol
Interesting marketing strategy.
Now everyone is spamming his shitty link instead of writing how bad that game might be.
SWTOR should have tried that too.
Guys, posting referral links is against the site rules.
We do have dedicated threads for invites and trials (Which are usually referrals), but these links are not invites. There's no guarantee attached for the person signing up, so it basically amounts to spam.

Well, personally I'm just curious how similiar it is to Heaven and hearth as someone else mentioned but if that refferal could help someone get into the beta easier I'd rather use theirs than just signing up myself.
Haven't read much about this game though but J&L are working on it so one can hope it's gonna be good. =p
The speed of the mole and the power of steel is my weapon
And when you add PVP to that then it is definitely a pass...I'm sure every Darkfall asshat wannabe will be here.

if they use HnH's system which i believe they are going by their dev videos. you have earn enough XP"lp" to buy the skills to attack players and the skills to kill and loot them. all of which leave scents that people can force summon/hunt you down with. so i dont really know how much asshating will be done. its not a perfect system though, so you will see more experianced players or older players killing noob players should they feel inclined. which does seem to be a pretty huge issue with their HnH game.
If they use the curious system where you have to use real time to gain lp instead of gaining it through actions then I probly won't play.
This isn't a signature, you just think it is.
I like the idea of the open crafting but seriously? Free for all w/ Permadeath system? Counting the number of well lets just say BEEPS their are, this game isnt looking well. How would you like it saying finnaly i just finished my house man it looks nice " wack wack wack " DEAD " Thanks for the new house " I dont mine PVE permadeath but if any BEEP can just start attacking you without provoction and kill you whats the point.
