Red 5 Studios has announced that attendees at next month's PAX East convention will be able to get their grubby little hands on a Firefall demo. The demo is the same one that invite-only closed beta testers are currently playing.
In addition, those checking out the Firefall demo will have the opportunity to meet key characters, Typhon and Mourningstar, in full “Battleframes” at the show and will receive a beta invite.

nice to see FF resurface maybe theyve worked out alot of their issues in closed beta and will soon be ready for a release.
I forsee FF will be the mother of all FTP mmos. it looks amazing.
see?- i didnt even ask for a beat key
Wasn't this game supposed to hit an open beta awhile ago?
I remember seeing a very well-done trailer for it somewhere. The kind of trailer you usually see when a game is no more than three months from release. Then I vaguely recall some fall out with some publisher or something...I don't really remember.
If I am remembering correctly then I'm wary. Any game that has long-term financial trouble before launch probably isn't going to make it.
The game has never been anywhere near finished and the devs were really just trolling the public imo. From what I understand they only just began testing the open world part of the game before it was just instanced pvp like a tribes ascend.
The game was advertise as coming in Dec 2011 but they later twisted that statment to say that they will just start testing the cash shop and send out more closed beta invites and there is no real launch date for the game.
They are playing the "it's ready when it's ready" game and it stopped being cute last year.
Or... Maybe they took notice of the feedback coming from the beta players and are actually trying to make the game better before releasing it. I wish there was more progress myself but everything i have seen so far points to Red 5 trying to do things right. Its not gonna be a monster game like WoW or SWTOR and that is not what they are shooting for. They are just focusing on making a fun game that a certain niche will enjoy. If it takes an extra year in order to release the game in a good state, I'll wait.
