Some performance/misc questions
I am reluctant to pre-order it, so any answers would be appreciated.
My computer is somewhere between the minimum and recommended specs; just how performance intensive is Tera?
Given that my computer can barely run SWToR on the minimum settings, do you think that it could run Tera (on any settings)?
PROC: ~= Dual Core < 3 ghz
Video: 1 gig DDR3, ~= 700 mhz speed, Bus 128, BW 21.3,
RAM: 4 gigs
Is it possible to play on any server with the EU/NA version, or are the regions segregated?
By this I mean: Can you play on the NA and EU servers with either version, or do you need both versions to play on either server?

TERA does well on just about any system. If you can run SW:ToP, you will do well in TERA.
As far as I know, this game is very region segregated, and doesn't play well with others. You need the NA version to play in NA, the EU version to play in the UK, and some parts of asia, and the Korean version to play from there. You will most probably be IP blocked if you attempt to play from a region which you are not a part of.
This is what I have read, but I am not 100% sure on it.
EU players are not blocked from playing in NA, they just need to buy the NA copy from En Masse, the issue though is latency, latency is very important in this game, so playing on a version of the game where the servers are located far away from you is not the best idea.
As for your computer, I don't know how well it will handle the game, especially since I don't even know how well optimized it is right now, considering it is BETA and you notice changes(better or worse) each week as they are stress testing servers and stability.
I think you'll be able to play but some dungeons get really hectic and large scale PvP will also tug at your CPU, as the Unreal engine 3 and extremely high rez textures push your CPU pretty heavily.
What are your specs more specifically?
So you need the version corresponding to the region to play on that region ?

Yes, you need to buy the region specific product to play the game(NA/EU) as long as your region isn't I.P blocked(Asia, Africa, Middle East and Russia). Even then you can still play quite easily but you know...it's kind of against the rules so I won't go into detail lol.
I don't know how well those statistics will run honestly, TERA is pretty CPU intensive, if anything why not give it a shot at open beta(although I expect performance to be mediocre due to beyond ridiculous amounts of random people testing the game).
I mean, with preset 6 reduced to preset 3 the game doesn't look much different, only thing that is sacrificed is how far the render distance is and shadows.
I was playing for a bit at a friends house with specs lower than those you posted(well most likely, considering your specs are specific) and it was perfectly playable, I did only play until level 20 or so, so it's not a good indicator I guess and it's also what someone would consider "perfectly playable" as some think that's 60+ fps at all times max settings lol.
