Let me preface with this by offerring a slight look at my RL bio... I am 27, and am very well employed... I will eventually have ownership/partial ownership of my company, and my wife does pretty good for herself as a manger slaving for a large corporation... I, unlike her am an avid gamer... Played CS since 99, and spent over a year on SWG and many other MMO's... I amassed much wealth in SWG, and had millions upon millions of credits back in SWG's heyday... I crafted, harvested and did it all to make mucho spacebucks... I also was able to play more since I had a job I didn't like...
Fast forward to now, I have a job that I love, keeps me real busy... So I don't have time to craft in EQ2 (game I am currently playing), and quite frankly their crafting system isn't even close to being as cool as SWG's WAS (not IS, due to the mangling of it), also, I doubt I have the time anymore to craft like I once did... Couple this with making good money, I just..... *Drum Rolls Please*
BOUGHT 3 PLATINUM PIECES FOR $20.00!!!!!!!
Am I a bad person now? It boggles my mind that I actually did it, but I have little playing time, and want to stick to adventuring 100% because I like EQ2's action and quests... Also, the entity in which I bought it from was extremely timely, and overall, this place runs a real tight ship, very impressed... Anyone else done this? I feel it is justified, with the inflated market on my server, I simply didn't want the hassle of getting into crafting once again, with a dull and boring EQ2 crafting system... I have wasted more money on stupider things... Like yesterday, took my kid to an amuesment park, he wanted me to win a giant sutffed animal monkey for him, wasted $20.00 fucking dollars trying to get a softball into a jar, GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! Those things are rigged---oh, I am done blathering now...

I don't think you are a bad person. I just think you broke the EULA and, if caught, you should be banned or suspended from the server. It really isn't about whether it is right or wrong, it is about it being against the rules.
I guess it is like this... You can fight the power if you want, but be ready to fully accept the consequences. I know a few people working on EQII with SOE and they are *very* serious about stopping people from 3rd party buying. That is why they created the in game Station Exchange servers.
Anyway, have fun with your plat! I know how tough it is having to work a ton and being behind the curve.

Answer me this...did buying the platinum increase your enjoyment of the game?
I've always found that getting funds in game with no work just diminished the enjoyment I had. Still remember "showmethemoney" from Starcraft...made the levels super easy and I found that I wouldn't enjoy winning each scenario as much.
*shrugs*
Enjoy the platinum.
I sold my pet dragon for 25 plat
selling monkeys for a few plat each too

Don't click here...no2
Are you a bad person? no and honestly anyone who actually cares needs to find something more important to do with their life.
I think you got had personally because I could make triple the amount of platinum in the hourish of work that $20 is worth to the average person. But again everything is subjective, but do not be suprised when the flames start on this thread you cant say you did not ask for it.
1: u will get hacked
2: so what u got 3 platiunum pieces
3: i aint going to hack u
4: eq2 or sod what ever they both suck since they both
require high computer stuff
Mwahahahahhahah
Was that some sort of code?
Anyways don't feel bad about buying ingame currency its your money and you can do what you like with it. just don't get caught by the SOE police
lol funny one
