Um heh, Elder Scrolls games are all single player RPGs, you must be really new to the whole gaming thing if you didn't know that ::::28::. Xbox live is $50 a year.

If you want to have fun on plenty of games grab Xbox live. Guild wars is fun but can get old really quick and most of the people playing it are way past the beginning levels so you will see few people in the beginning. Xbox Live currently only has 1 or 2 mmorpg's. TES:Morrowind(The Elder Scrolls 3:Morrowind) is not on Live but it is a great RPG and I cant wait for Oblivion. There are other games such as FPS' cus Xbox pwns in FPS' especially online.
Phantasy Star Online is a mmo on xbox and it does cost monthly, but its old and I will doubt that you will see anyone on there. Good luck with the decision and hope you get Live.

P.S.~If you get Live let me know and I'll send you a friendrequest.

I would go for xbox live (if you plan on getting xbox live enable games). It's really fun and you don't have to hassle with things like lag, hacks, etc. There is Phanasty Star Online.

BTW The Elder Scrolls series is not an mmorpg but one of the best single player RPGs for PC and Xbox (TES III: Morrowind). Not only that its all USA! image

If you have an Xbox, you got to buy The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. It's been a year now and im still not done with the game. I even brought the expansion and made it harder on myself. LMAO

A very addictive game. If you don't believe me on how good it is. go to the website and check out the ratings on it. It's a platinum hit.

    *edit*

If your new to mmorpgs, I suggest you look for some trial versions. I beleive that City of Heros still have a trial going. If you want to try I can get you a key or a link to a key.

You do know that 360 can only play the popular of the xbox games, everything else won't work.

I have Guildwars and I haven't played it for over a month now. It's fun when you first play it over a month or so, then things start to settle, and how can I say "bore out". Guildwars is a good game, but if you're looking to play over a long period of time I would reconsider if I were you. I played it a lot over the first two months I had it and got two level 20 characters in the first month, then after that I rarely got on and played anymore.

Right now I'm currently thinking of getting Xbox Live myself. I've never played a console system online, but a few of the games I have like Conker Live and Reloaded, Unreal Championship 2, and Halo 2 look really fun online and could probably keep me out of boredom for quite some time, or at least I hope so.

Yes, Halo 2 will be playable on XBox 360 (I've seen it myself).

To those wondering (as it's not just the original poster now), I'd highly reccomend XBox Live. It's only $50 a year (VERY small cash. You could just ask for it for your birthday or christmas every year). I can't even imagine not having XBox Live for gaming now... it would literally be like taking away the internet from your PC gaming. There's something for everyone on Xbox Live; not just the shooters. Also, you make a lot of friends (more friends than I have on PC) that aren't just to one game.

That or Guild Wars? Pah, Guild Wars is only one game... that'll get boring in no time. While I hop from MMORPG to MMORPG, I've always kept XBox Live and all of my Live games.

Rikimaru there is lag and hacks, not like the PC but still there are hacks/glitches. Lagging is a part of any game anywhere whether you have the crappiest system or the most sophisticated one. I have lagged plenty of times on Xbox live and been kicked off of servers a lot. It can be frustrating at first if you cant find a good room to play in but when you do find a room it is a sweet experience.

I love TES:Morrowind but to admit I use the cheats. I dont really see how ppl could play the game AND beat it without them. I was almost to the end in the part right before you can kill Vivec and my friend wrote over the save game with one of his new chars-I lost it and almost broke his arm when I found out but its all good now and we are reallly good friends stil (even though Im trying to beat the game again). Morrowind would have been the best game ever and blown PS2's version of Everquest out of the water had it been on Live.

I don't cheat, but i still havent beaten it. I use my longsword to shread enemies like paper but after I got the expansion for Xbox, they been shreading me a good bit.

I would have broken his arm or punched him...it would take me some convicing not to. I remember my sister saving over my PS2 save of Dark Cloud. I almost atemped to break her arm.

The Elder Scroll games don't need any online gameplay (as a mmorpg it would not work...period). It's aready eating up Japan's Final Fantasy...image

forget my last post some thing went wrong and I couldn't see my text but know I can. I think that its funner to play with cheats and see how fast you can beat the game image with out have a game save at

the last boss of coarse. But sometimes its fun to play with out cheats.  Don't feel bad about a brother

or sister messing up your saves it's just their way of saying I like you but your a jerk alot of the times.

ya dude u should definately choose live over guildwars. You could get tired of playing guild wars pretty fast and with XBL theres tons of games u can play so u wont get bored! I played GW for one day at my friends house, I made a pvp char and after the first hour of playing I was still having fun but it was very repetitive (The PvP mode)
But I really dont know, The RPG mode is prolly alot funner and more interesting, But I'd still say go with Live instead ::::28::
