Why should time spent have an advantage over money spent?

I don t have the time but i do have the money that will Get me to the same level as someone who spent all day playing gw2. Frankly i hope my money gets me ahead of people with 2 much time. Bring on P2w

Thats not Pay 2 Win, but whatever.
Actually, no, it won't. Even with experience scrolls giving you 10% more experience per kill you'll still have to spend the time getting those kills. Besides, you'll get experience much faster doing events than killing alone.

and no you cant hire people with gems (real money) to run events for you ,bosses ,dungeos ,pvp,whatever.

Oh sure I hope they'll create some heavy P2W servers for you and you can play there, pay lot of money and have satifaction to have advantage over folks that cannot or don't want to blow so much money.
Then I would play on normal servers not having to cope with you.
Win-win situation.
I am not against P2W itself - I just don't want to play on servers / enviroments that have those things and want to have option to play game without p2w.

Yes they ll allocate servers for non paying customers like youjabs aside. I would love to see the Devil's Advocate guy take on this topic.
There is plenty to be said for the wealthier gamer side of things. I will throw a few cans of kerosene into the campfire:
- My money helps provide for your gaming content. The more money means the more content for all. Let me spend!
- I don't have time like hardcore gamers do. Most games are unremarkable until the end anyway. Grats you scoured every inch of the cubic map and deciphered the lore so you can post on Allakazam first. I'll pay them too so i can rifle through walkthroughs and loot the good stuff that you took forever to find for free.
- its not fair? You enjoy the game for nothing out of your pocket vs. I shell out funds from my wallet. You like getting the Choolate cake if you bake it yourself? wonderful. Ill buy it at the bakery. Have I harmed you?
- It will ruin the game economy? Whose fault is that? Blame the game design. If gold buys me all the same items you get, why arent they bound items? Why do I have to run the same instance over and over for a mere lottery shot to get the item and get bored to death? Is this how the game was intended to be played? Run through the same content for days or even weeks?
Do i have a better idea? Nope. That what I pay you designers for!

Because I pay for the gold farmers work? two answers - see above Game design and perhaps you can enjoy your game AND make some money to pay mom/dad back for charging their credit card to buy this digital download. I would rather pay you - the hardcore, true-blue gaming enthusiast than some far east robot of a teen slave of a digital slumlord.

You are looking at this topic in such a bad way. Games are NOT supposed to be about who can get an advantage whether through spending money or time. If you play games with the sole purpose of just getting more stuff than the next guy, then well...you're doing it wrong.
Games are supposed to be about HAVING FUN, you know...ENTERTAINMENT. And I don't know about you, but paying money for power is just not fun to me nor is it entertaining.

This was a response to the "What cash shop items are you OK with" thread, which was promptly closed because there are apparently so many similar threads. I just can't quite find them. This is the closest to its kind on the first 2 pages of GW2 threads...
Anyway, apologies in advance for thread hijacking, but I wanted to post my response. What am I OK with the cash shop selling?
Anything that does not infringe upon my enjoyment of the game should I choose to not purchase that item even if everyone else does. Essentially, as long as it does not make anyone distinguishably more effective than me in either pvp or pve, by all means, add what you want to your cash shop and profit.
No I don't care if you get to level 20 a day before me. That's going to happen anyway. We all level at different paces. Chances are I won't have a clue who is using an exp boost and who is not.
No I don't care if you were able to open that super secret chest with your magic cash shop key. I'm going to go explore the hidden caves of Maguuma Jungle later this afternoon, and I'm sure I'll stumble upon a key or two. Oh, and I'm going to have fun doing it.
No I don't care if you purchased a shiny cash shop outfit with comparable stats to in-game items. I will be running an explorable mode dungeon with some of my close gamer friends tonight. We're farming our sets, and that's also fun for us.
I will still be invited to dungeons, and I will still be effective. I will still participate in DEs, and I will still get a high participation rating. I will still contribute to WvW according to my ability. I will still complete and enjoy my personal story on the side. And I will still bash your face in with a bar stool should I find you in a tavern.
Go ahead, use your cash shop in GW2; after all, it helps fund the game I'm enjoying. I probably won't use it, but I will still have a ton of fun.

Are we kids? i mean WTF is this "i wana be the best of everything"? its just a game, made to enjoy your time playing it, being powerfull or some shit like that is secondary.
