Read the book?

in Otherland

Am curious to know if you have read, or will read, the book before playing?

If you don't know it yet, Otherland is a book series by Tad Williams. huge 4 books epic cyberpunk, virtual reality series.

Highly reccomended.

The gamigo forums are having a weekly reading/discussion of the first book.

    It doesn't matter if anyone has read the books...

    The game is done by gamigo and that tells us all we need to know, so why should we even think about playing this game, even if the books are good?

    Don't waste your time.

    Have you read up on this game? It's owned and published by dtp entertainment, developed by their RealU studio. gamigo just got the NA/EU online license for it.

    To miss out on a game like this because you had a bad experience before is shortsighted.

    I heard about this game after or while reading the last book in the series. It went for so long without releasing any information, I thought the game had actually tanked.

    I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

    yah i have read it all 4.

    cant stop it to read.so greate and genius the complete RL/VL story.

    big fantasy and sci fi mixed with cyberpunk.

    1 place in my personally top 3 in sci fi genre.

    2 is ringworld universe from larry niven and 3 is armageddon cyclus.

    all 3 best material for mmo games.

    and yes u dont need to read it to play the game.

    ingame u will get enough story to play it.

    Ikr.  I'm a huge fan of the book series and will be trying to get a new computer just so I can play this game.
