Thanks for the link and a good read.  Dynamic boss appearances seems to be interesting especially when a mid-run afk is needed.

"Hey guys.. why is there a troll standing over everyone's corpse?"

Nice to get some written articles. Whilst youtube has its place I'm getting kind burnt out on vids. I guess high res screens are so last year too. I did find a couple that would seem to squash the 'graphics are crap' argument.

Oh I remember seeing a couple of vids of the encounter he talks about (seperating the mobs). The yogs where really struggling with it.

This part in the article made me smile:

'Then, finally, there are puzzle and jumping dungeons. These have been added to the game relatively recently, and serve as the reward for dedicated exploration. They’re completely optional, and found in the open world – often in hidden parts of caves or on top of seemingly inaccessible ruins. Jumping puzzles might lead you to the top of the old walls of Ascalon, or through the depths of a cave system to a unique boss, rare crafting resource, or bonus skill point. The feature developed organically, when the content team built a tough series of jumps into a particular story quest. It was deemed too difficult to be a compulsory part of play, but the idea caught on and since then it’s caused something of an arms race in ArenaNet’s art department. “One of our environment artists kind of went bananas,” Johanson told me. “They’re all competing now, trying to one-up each other and put these insane jumping puzzles in different hidden parts of the world where we didn’t have anything there before.”'

I like the sound of it image

Bah more vaporware and PR hype for what we all know is going to be a P2W title where the PVP is nothing but a big Esport and  with small emphasis on PVE and even that is going to be nothing but a zergfest with stationary bosses.  This game will fail. Think that covered a weeks worth of QQ on this site no?

/sarcasm off   thanx for the read. While my hands on time has been limited, I can see where they were coming from and I do think the game has great potential. It has lived up to my expectations.

I really like that idea of random encounters in Dungeons. This sounds to be a lot of fun.
