I refuse to play another dumbed down carebear EQ clone marketed for the casual gamer. I think I speak for every pvp'r when i say "%^&* this game".

    Pathetic...truely pathetic.  You think we all care that you refuse to play LotRO?  I'll be pleased when I log in for the first time and it is full of people there because they love LOTR...not because they love to pvp.  PvP is not the only part of a MMORPG.  If you only play a MMO because of it, then you are missing out on a lot.

    well i will play if it has no pvp but will only play for so long wat is the point of playing online with other ppl if u cant kill them in a fight to the death or be even more deviace and stab them in the bck games with out pvp will only entertain for so long

    while its true that alot of players are interested in the whole PvP aspect of things, it's not the Be All and End all of a MMORPG, there is more to a game than killing people, what about getting to know them and working with them to complete quests?

    while it's true with some games, LotRO has the story that Thousands of people know, people won't just get bored of it if they can't beat the crap out of people they don't know,

    in all i agree with the sentiments of someone who posted above (sorry i can't remember the name) if you only want to play to PvP then thank goodness that you won't be in the game, leave the game for fans of the Books !

    I am sure they are really worried about pvper's not wanting to play their game. After all look at the games that have lost the pvp market and how they poorly they will do without all of them being there.

    WAIT, the hard core pvp games are the ones that seem to have the low subscription base. So maybe they want to make money giving paying customers what they want instead of the whinning pvp crowd what they want. After all having more subscribers is what they want, or at least I would have thought that was the case.

    Hmmmm no pvper's will play this game ( calls all my friends and party til we can't stand), Seriously this game is about more than pvping, ganking or what ever you want to call it. IMO turbine relized that they would loose more players and fans if they made this a pvp based game. Not to say there wont be some form of pvp in the game, if you have read what the devs had to say you would of picked up on that, just that this game will not be pvp based. And with all the games out there now (something like every 9 in 10 games are pvp) why does it matter if a game you don't want to play doesnt have pvp???

    You probably lose more people when you dont have PVP, Sorry bud, but if they made the pvp work in this game it would be EVEN Better. They would just have to figure out, where, how, and when they will do it. Do not put numbers on things that you know nothing about

    First of all i was being sarcastic sorry if that was to  much for you to grasp. And i have researched alot of games and for all of them out there, (may not be 9 0ut of 10 but it is pretty damn close) the majority are pvp based. My main point is if there are so many pvp games to choice from why is it such a big deal if a game comes along that don't have pvp? I will admit they could make it work and they probably will at a later time in game. Say when mordor is actually released into the game. Floon beatle hinted that pvp isnt completely dead in his dev diary. They could make it so that it is a duel type pvp. But anyway thanks for E it ment so much to me.

    As far as loosing people. I can't even tell you how many fans there are of the books out there and I know alot of people who will play this game cause they want to experience middlt earth like they have always dreamed of. Show me another game that has a fan base like the books to draw off of. The casual gamer is the majority in the gaming world not the hard core pvper. I have played games were they had a pvp server and a non pvp server and the pvp server always had less people playing it.

    I agree that PvP done a EQ or WoW style is alwaus welcome in any game.

     

    PvP done a DAoC or Lineage style can cripple and kill a game.
