For those interested, www.girlzgametoo.com is throwing a week long anniversary bash with giveaways, contests, interviews, a tournament, etc...
The site welcomes males as long as they are respectful of others. Check it out, worst case scenario you could meet some new gamers, best you could win some free stuff.

What is up with this sudden boom in 'GIRL GAMERZ'? I think it's AWESOME that girls are playing video games and MMOGs, but why announce it? Last I checked, real life gender played no part in video games.
I'm going to go make a site about guy gamerz, I just wanted to make sure everyone knew, GUYZ DO GAME TOO!

In a way I guess we did advertise, and I apologize. I really didn't look at it that way and I guess I should have. I had actually looked into adevertising here and recieved the reply: "We are sold out of every location except one spot through mid-Sept."
The one spot wasn't a very attractive one, so we opted not to. So we had planned on advertising here, and I went through the channels to do so, it just turned out we didn't ask early enough I suppose. This thread wasn't meant to be an actual advertisement, more of a PSA. Sorry for making it seem like one.
As far as being part of the community, I've been here longer than you Riki...maybe as not nearly as many posts, but we link to mmorpg.com quite often on different stories that they do of interest. Again, letting people know about something of intrest to the gaming community.
Again, didn't want to stir things up. My apologies to the mmorpg.com staff and to those I may have offended.

The contests/tournament/giveaways are open to all gamers, we welcome everyone to the site male or female. The site is "based upon the perspective of the female gamer and the guys who support them in it"
During our EQ2 beta giveaway, 7 guys walked away with betas. I'm pretty sure some will walk away with prizes with as many as we have to give away.
