I don't understand what can convince a person....

I don't understand. . . what can convince a person that something is true on the internet. I just recently made a post about (in another boards) a funny even that happened today that gets out of hand into in a hand full of people not believing it. I gave them all the information I could and most still don't believe that it's true.... Most people don't even read through the pages.

Do you guys ever find stuff like this or has any of this happened to you?

    Convincing people of facts on the internet is generally the same as convincing them in real life.  Quite simply though, there are more compelling and convincing speakers than there are gifted writers.

    Just because you can tell a compelling, realistic-sounding story doesn't mean the story is true, in the same way that just because someone can't tell their story in an exciting, believable way doesn't mean it's false.

    If you have an exciting and true story to share and the majority of people don't believe you, then you can thank the liars that have so far made up the majority of the human race for forcing people to assume you're one of them.

    Pleanty of complete BULL gets posted on the internet and many, many people swallow it! So it kinda balances itself out image

    Try making up a certain belief(this can be extremly stupid), and say you found it in a tomb and that its 1000 years old(just to add to the illusion), then people will start believing ya and even start giving you money.::::28::

    that used to happen to me a lot on these boards, in full fledged truth they'd doubt it.
