The Press Beta client was 10G, it was lacking ealteast half of the areas, 2 races, and all just about all of the story cutsences after the introduction were either placeholders or lacked sound.

The retail version will be around 15-20GB, for most people it's not a 2 hour download  and it will also very dependant on the sever load at the time of release. couple of 100's or 1000's of people downloading the game for the beta will be diffrent from the 10K's or more that will use it on launch.

Srsly how much of a writers block you had to get to put "it will download quickly" as one of the top 5 best little things about the game?

From all of the new or ploished features the game is releasing with you've basically you've choses the most rediculos and meaningless ones which are in just about every bloody F2P asian MMO out there. Things like exploration areas, skill point quests, and many other things should've been on that list..

I'm not a GW2 fanboy and so far from what i've seen im less and less in awe of the game but that list is just a joke...

Using dye to color the slot instead of the gear goes back many, many years in EQ1. Not exactly an "inovation" as far as I can see.

The cash shop is only an issue for those that are making it so. They've already outlined their intentions of what they want to sell. Cosmetic gear (stat-free) and convenience items (non-combat). Anyone thinking they are gonna pull a fast one on us...is ignoring ArenaNet's longstanding reputation. They've had a cash shop for GW1 for most of the game's life and has never sold anything questionable outside the PvP skill pack which itself is highly debateable in terms of "paying to win". No skill in that pack was overpowered, all it offered was to cut down the time to unlock skills naturally.

As for comments about downed state and fast travel being negatives, I don't think these people have experienced situations where it becomes viable. It only takes one time for you to be downed in an epic battle and you're wishing someone would revive you so you can get back into the battle. Again it's only be one time where you'll be glad that there's multiple waypoints so you can go hook up with your guildmates instantly. It's only gonna take one time, and you'll be singing a different tune.

    Wisdom is conquered with patience.
