WARNING ALL MMORPG GAME MAKERS AND PLAYERS PLZ READ!!!

Hi i just wanted to seriously warn everyone that is hoping to make a game or just like st o play them that a company called Game-Arena Entertainment is a sham. how would i know you may ask. Well if you go look through the Help Wanted in developers corner i had a game called Kingdom In Exile. He claimed to have liked it and wanted to sign me. my game, and my team to his company. All went well for 5 whole days and today he dropped me and my game for reasons that weren't even valid. His user name on MMORPG.com or anywhere else for that matter is Tom316. He acts all professional but really hes all BS. The word "Contract" is what gets ppl to sign with him and trust me you wont get a dime. He will even tell you that he has a meeting with NCsoft about his games and if u seen them you would know that NCsoft only publishes games that actually look good. Im not saying this in revenge or anything im looking out for the MMORPG community and being an honest person so please listen to the truth from me than lies from them.

Hm, Well im not one to judge. But this seems more like "Boohoo I got dumped and now I want to bitch about it" syndrom.
Maybe your game was not what they were looking for or whatever the reasons were they/he gave you.
In all fairness the consept of the Game-Arena Ent seems pretty nice. But then again I dont have the full story just yours. Thats to bad you got burned like that, but I guess it was a good lesson learnt and good thing you didnt sign over any rights to your game (you didnt right??).
But I have to agree with Dirk_Gently and say "Looking at the site; it does look smelly".
actually its not that boo-hoo crap im pretty much ok with it i just dont want others to get burned like me. The reason why he dumped me and not the rest of my team is because of a petty little argument that was solved and Tom couldnt handle the truth. god just listen for once when someone is just trying to help ppl from getting lied to and used like i was.
That's fine because if you have had any input on the design of the game - and can prove it, then there are a whole load of intellectual copyright issues that they will have to deal with.

well of course i have had imput on the game. i created it at the start of the year and me and my team were working on it since then.
Then you own the intellectual copyright for it. Though obviously you will need something rather more weighty than "someone on mmorpg.com told me" before you challenge them on it.

KIE seemed to one that was the farthest in development. They shouldn't have dumped you.
So wait, your team is still there working? Or your whole team and you are going to keep on going? Your site is not up, thats why I was just wondering.

me and the remaining members of my team are re-planning the site and other technical things. it takes mmore than a cheap liar to stop KIE.
I'm not going to dignify this with an argument, and I will say that there are absolutely no copyright issues because we are not producing KIE anymore. Certain team members, those who were not troublesome, illiterate, demanding, impatient or immature have been invited to stick with us to produce our existing games, and they have accepted.
We're not trying to 'stop' KIE, but we're not investing in a person juvenile enough to start a post like this.
Dirk_Gently, if you have any suggestions or comments to back up your statement about the website, please PM me, Id like to hear them.
EDIT: Greatness, AOD is by far the farthest along, ABP second.
I don't know about AOD but Ashbrook Prime just finished with the concept, it was a post on the forums.

Well let me see: I forgot a few things. Gamerman was in constant demand of new resources, he was unable to be online for the required work, he asked 20 times per day for access to our SVN and source code even though he knew that was not possible until the contracts were signed.
We don't deny that it was a bad business idea to take on KIE, but babysitting them would have driven us into the ground.
Greatness, ABP has just completed the concept stage, yes, but the engine and features have been in the works for over a month.
Oh....the drama...
*claps* ya i know of your little story jamie of how i so-called demanded stuff from u. Im sorry but i dont ask for things from ppl who dont have them. plus i know more than u think. but to correct his little statement. i asked twice about when we are getting our stuff. i didnt ask after that or was hardly even on since all they did was avoid me and ignore me on MIRC. and as for KIE even if u took the title u have nothing else. the overall game is mine and im the only one with the complete story and details. lies wont get u anywhere but down. And as for the rest of the ppl here on MMORPG.com if you wanna believe someone who is in a company that doesnt even have 1: a building 2: pretty much anything else a company needs. over a fellow gamer than go ahead. and i dont need revenge, thats for cowards like some ppl i know.
Edit: lol but go ahead tell the world your big made up story since i know that one was fabricated too. u cant make stuff up about someone that wasnt online as much as u. remember that. so keep trying.

why who shouldnt have had anything to do with who?? i dont understand what u mean.
The biggest problem in those discussions and accusations is the minimum on evidence. I haven't seen any evidence and so it is word against word. Starting a thread with an accusation in it should have prove and hard prove. I only know that KIE was dropped GAE, the reasons are stated. But also here none of the readers know what exactly happened behind the scene (except those involved) and I have the feeling it will stay this way.
And perhaps it is better to let this rest now, no need to go on and on and on. Because this will lead nowhere except to more flames.

It isn't particularly unusual for a company not to have a physical building. When you set up a company you just need an address for the company to be registered at and to file tax returns from - it doesn't have to be your business premises. You can hire addresses from people to use for that (plenty of companies do), and it is no indication of the viability of the organisation - I used to work for a company where even my small department was bringing in $5 million a year and they didn't have formal offices, they just hired space around the country when, where and if they needed it.
You can also say that the physical office is getting to be a pretty outmoded concept in the entertainment industry with many organisations adopting the virtual office where possible.
