Tiggs from SOE admits to why they nerfed xp

joejccva71joejccva71 Member UncommonPosts: 848

I just received this from a player on the SWG official forums. SOE finally admits WHY they did this xp nerf.

Clicky

It appears that they meant to do this because it was taking only 2 weeks to get jedi? Is this some kind of joke? The Force Sensitive grind would take 4 months, and then the actually REAL grind came trying to get full template. What is Tiggs smokin??!?! OMG 2 weeks LOL.

Also this shouldn't have affected non-jedi professions but it did. That is just ridiculous.

(shakes head) tiggs, another one that needs to see a pinkslip. They all need to go. Everyone thinks tiggs is the best GM in the world, and so does she, wonder if she still uses this tag.

    Tiggs
SWG - Director of community relations
(and DARN good at it to!)

Direct quote, she's just another pompous arrogant member of the team. Funny how she thinks she's so awesome at a job everyone almost universally says is the worst part of SOE, "community relations" hope she doesnt hurt her arm patting herself on the back like that, her heads so full of herself its almost comical if it didnt have such adverse effects on the rest of us.

This isn't going to hurt Jedi as much as it will hurt New Players.

SoE just ruined the best MMORPG on the market.

not sure how the game is now but after holocrons went and the village quest started i started the grind.

18 weeks the village took me (6 phases) then about 1 1/2 days to do my trials to get to padawan. From there on it took me 6 weeks to get from Initiate - Dark Jedi Guardian, that was without any Geo Caves or any other easy xp place in game. it was all pure missions and as far as i know there arent many able to complete it that fast, i grinded 7 days a week 9am - 2am, that game took over me.. so addictive :P

well 2 weeks to grind is very very unlikely.

The best MMORPG .. rofl.  Everyone I know who tried the game said it was pure trash and shouldn't have seen the light of day until they fixed its numerous problems.

The fact you would even say this tells me, despite your protest and cancellation, you still don't realize why SOE went from being number 1 with EQ to the mediocre mess it is today.

Best is a very subjective term, as is the "quality" of an MMORPG.

For me it was the most fun MMORPG I had found. But this XP change will change the entire reason I enjoyed it. It turns it from a group friendly casual friendly game into just another game with a nasty XP Grind.

That ruins a lot of the fun in it. Enough for me to decide it's time to move on.

I have never claimed the game was perfect. For me it was the best MMORPG available. For you obviously it wasn't. But please try to avoid insulting your own intelligence by stating that a game that had over 250,000 players was "garbage". Lets leave those lables for the games like AC2, Horizons, Mourning, MxO and various other titles that are either on life support, in danger of being cancelled or just flat out suck.

SWG, even with these changes, will likely still have a larger audience than 90% of the MMO's in existance. It's not garbage but it's certainly lost a big portion of what made it fun for many people now.

rofl, just read this dudes post on the forums, too funny

    THANK YOU TIGGS!!

You just gave me that last reason I needed to stop playing this game.

Your response was one of the most well worded pieces of junk i've seen from a customer relations "expert" i've ever seen. I sat here all day hoping that perhaps just one time, just once that a HUGE public outcry might actually cause you folks to sit up and take notice of whats going wrong... Instead you do what I knew deep down would happen... Ask us to bend over and take yet another wadsworth straight up the ol' poop chute...

When this game falls apart and you're applying for your next job, it might be a good idea not to point out the fact that you worked for SOE you'd prolly have a better chance of getting the position by putting down 6 months experience at Rotten Ronnies saying "Would you like fries with that?"

YAY SOMEONE ELSE REALISES THAT TIGGS IS USELESS!

She doesnt even do her job. Ever see her pic? She could be the poster model for anti-smoking campaigns. Trashy.... yeck. Back to the point. She doesnt do her job PROPERLY AT ALL. People give her way to much credit which I find quite frustrating.
