SWG has gone downhill

ok first off i loved the old SWG before the CU.it was without a doubt the best mmorpg.but then they added this CU and the whole game changed.i kno countless ppl that canceled there accounts and i had just got the game and cant play cause the downloads take more than 24 hours.Also alotta ppl have problems with SOE.they dont help at all and dont listen to the players. i had made a petition of players to change back to the old SWG and they sent an email saying "thank you for writing to SOE your opinion helps us all" and when i try to talk about the CU on the SWG forums i get bashed and rudely yelled at by administrators.All im asking to do is to put this out in the open without administrators,who dont listen, bash me. i speak for my old guild,who have all canceled there accounts, WE WANT THE OLD GAME BACK!!!!

    I didnt play pre CU, I resisted SWG for a few years based on the reputation of those developers that first started working on the game. Primarly the lead that came from Everquest. He was known for his apathy twards players.

    However with the total experience coming out I resisted no longer. I found the game enjoyable and the ability to easily change your templet was also a plus. However my experience with the SOE customer service has been as expected. They do not know the meaning of the word Honesty. THe developers attempt to lie to, mislead, and trick players on a regular basis. The change game content that people enjoy and that is NOT broken to someting that reduces game enjoyability and angres the players Rather than attempting to fix any of the games MANY MANY bugs.

    I do not recommend this game to ANYONE in its current form or with its current publisher.  Star Wars shouild be the greatest MMORPG on the net just because its star wars. But it has been so mishandled by SOE that it is more aggravation than enjoyability. Most of the players that stay with the game do so not because they enjoy the game but for the SOLE reason that it is Star Wars. Others ONLY because of the Friends they have made in the game.

    I think what you mean is SWG has gone downhill and crashed into the tree at the bottom

    Actually I think the CU was good for the game. The very recent XP Nerf was a bad bad bad idea though.

    The CU i was told it was supposed to speed up combat, i activated my account about 6 weeks into the CU to check it out. i saw loads of jedis dueling eachother in the mining outpost.

    i advertised if anyone can beat this jedi near me they will win a free anti decay kit. there were loads of jedi ready to duel this jedi, i expected the duel to last no more than 5 mins or so.... i was wrong, over 1 hour 30 mins it took and there was still no winner so i just gave the contender the ADK. before CU i could drop jedis in less than a minute.

    I'm not saying the CU is rubbish but with me being a pre combat upgrade player the CU was too much of a change for me.
