Back in the day, before Al Gore invented the internet and I had yet to create my first character on Shadows of Yserbius, there existed a bulletin board text game (multiplayer actually) where you were on an alien world and had to gather elements (I think there were five) and had to join them together to make new devices with unknown capabilities. Ok, so an example (although I am for sure getting the names wrong): You find a snalt and a quorum, combine them to make a fuzzle, which on inspection has a red button. you combine the fuzzle with a quorum and create a boozle, which on inspection has a red and green button. Pressing the green button teleports you through any wall directly in front of you.
Anyone remember this game? If it is still running somewhere, I think that could entertain me until GW2 beta weekends. IIRC I played this about 20 years ago at 2400 baud :-) :-)

I cannot help you in this game but there are MUDs still running, a google search on them would probably get you your game and if it wasn't running an alternative. I know my husband just yesterday found a list of old games from that era, I think on wikipedia.

If it was a BBS game could it have been Planets?
Yes, thanks! That is it...Fazuul.
Now to see if it still exists anywhere....
