I will never preorder/prepurchase an MMO again after the SWTOR fiasco. I normally manage to get into beta events anyway without preordering which is the main reason I used to do it.
I am waiting until we have full disclosure on what items will be in the cash shop, and we see balanced reviews from real players.

I'm going to get the standard digital edition. All of the other stuff doesn't interest me. I'm not going to pay an extra $20 for a minipet and some skill which I won't have any use for. Charrzooka FTW! And I never buy CE's. No use for the statue and the art book.
I rather use the money to buy some bank space and that amazing hat.

TBH I completely agree with you. I also don't buy before trying anymore. But, I will make an exception for this game. I have been following it since they first announced it and GW is one of my fav games. I kinda have a bit more trust in Anet. But I completely understand where you are coming from.

I won't buy it tommorow, I was planning to do so, but not knowing any possible release date annoys me tbh. I am waiting for the game for years don't wanna ruin it now with some weekend betas. And their " it will come in 2012 answer" doesn't really help me much. I hope all of you who buy it , will enjoy the betas.
Standard digital edition for me. No p2w items in the deluxe or CE! What were/are they thinking? Nevertheless, the savings from buying the cheaper edition will allow me to purchase the uber Ringmasters top hat of whoop-ass, from the p2w, er, I mean the CS! Then all of your circus animals are belong to me! muahahaha!
For the record, I was going to purchase a CE and two deluxe sets for me and the family, but will only be getting 3 standards after the CS fiasco. So yes, Anet lost some money for even going there from me. Around $130 bucks worth.

Oh yes! I will be buying my wife the DDE while I am ordering the CE for myself. She turned down a CE for her because the last thing we need is more stuff to clutter up the house.
Getting the disc version of the game just incase for whatever reason i have to redownload the client as my internet sucks balls.
As for the items that come with they all seem pretty useless compared to other games pre-order items. No i don't want a silly statue.My opinion.

Although I do hear good things from some trusted sources who got into the beta so my excitement level is starting to grow.
What on Earth does OB have to do with wanting to play a game.. I mean sure if haven't been able to decide yet but there is so much footage and reviews of GW2 that how could you not know it will be worth the money by now?

I kind of seem to be the opposite of most people
! I normally buy CE's - and have been since they were started - however this time I won't be - since the only retailer selling them in Canada is Gamestop - and I just will not deal with them anymore. Normally I can just get them through Amazon.com - however for some reason Anet/NC has decided that they aren't going to allow sales outside the US.
Since I have no reason to rush now (for you know - those 'limited' CE's ;P) I'll most likely just wait.
