You might not like what's in it, but with what they added (a lot), the patch was added perfectly. WoW couldn't add anything without crashing all the servers for hours/days when the game was this new. Kudos to Bioware....they seem to actually CARE about making this game better!

Plummeting sub numbers and the fact this is 2012 and not 2004 tends to make a company release last chance content perfectly.
Glad they are taking steps in the right direction for those who enjoy the game though.
There is not much of a game to go wrong. It has been coded very basic and simple
However, it is a bit premature, as not much time has passed, and people would not have ripped it apart yet, and there is this
Star Trek Online - Best Free MMORPG of 2012
I look forward to playing this when I get home tonight. The only problem for me is deciding how my alts fit in the family tree.
Currently Playing: World of Warcraft
So i guess the awesome fighter taking off sound "loop" while makes you disable sound in the republic fleet is....intended?
Disappearing hair on characters? Disappearing companions? Missing NPCs.?
Just head over to the official forums
Yep OP you might want to check the official forum before you start bragging.
The patch includes a membership to ,"The Hair Club For Men" , and "Comb Over " instructions. As well as a free Donald Trump rug.
Ballerinas are always on their toes. Why don't they just get taller ballerinas?
When the word "flawless" or "perfect" are used with this game, you know something happened.
Still no acceptable group finding tool. Still don't care. I'll play when I don't have to spam LFG ever again.
I think the fact that they announced they were pulling a highly anticipated feature (and also the only bit of content for PVPers) 7 hours before it went live kind of makes it a huge failure, but to each his own.
Are you seriously comparing the technology avialable for WoW in 2004 compared to the one SWTOR has in 2012 in regards to patching and server stability? You do know that server technology advances, and things become easier and more stable over time?
I just find it funny how so many TOR fans compare it to 2004's WoW, trying to put TOR in a positive light. That's like saying "kudos to Verizon for having 3G compared to AT&T's mobile internet speed 10 years ago." Compare 2012 TOR with 2012 WoW.
Server technology has little to do with the fact that blizzard put code into there patches that broke there servers countless times throughout wows lifespan. When the patch breaks all their servers it has nothing to do with server technology because its the game thats now broke not the server.
I agree, I think the lack of a LFG tool is a real weak spot in the game IMO.

I really must applaud the OP to somehow find a way to delude himself into thinking Bioware has done something great here. I hope they keep taking your money and that they keep pulling major features out of patches hours before release. Flawless.
So was the OP serious, or being sarcastic, I mean its a bold statement to make, given the problems, or it is just a way to hate on the game, but not do it yourself....hmm...
As much as I dislike TOR as a mmo, it would be phenomenal if they had a flawless big patch, don't think I have ever seen that happen in any mmo.
Flawlessly?
Im one of main who are unable to patch the game due to their craptastic servers
Well, at least the "second try" of implementing it was ok I guess.
Seems like it got a bit messy when it escaped too early the first time.
Holy crap, people. So much negativity.
He's right. Forget about this game now and come back in 2020 when it might be good. That is if you can find anybody else to play it with.
some folks may not like it, but you will not find a thread on this site that speaks overwhelmingly positive about this game. You will see the three or four apologists and whiteknights still waving the ToR banner, but other than that it's a no-go. If people want to see positive posts about ToR it would be a good idea to head over to the official forums, but ever since the bait and switch late yesterday, it hasn't been too friendly there either.

Those are just a few issues the fans are posting. No patch to an mmo is ever flawless. Heck most patches in general are not. Swtor is no exception.
I no longer play swtor for other reasons, but this is the single most asinine complaint about the game.
The game does have a LFG tool. It works fine. Just people are too stupid to use it.
What it does not have is a LFD tool. Which if people werent stupid/lazy wouldnt remotely be an issue.
Its sad when developers are trashed because they dont put in concepts that cater to the lowest common denominator.
