One of the big turn offs for me was seeing all the sellers littering the ground in the first city i got to. This, IMO, really detracts from an otherwise pretty setting. And why?? there were all right next to the AH. Immediately reminded me of lineage II with its "sea of sellers" so thick you couldnt even see the ground. I guess its an asian mmo thing, as i've seen it in other asian mmos.
whats wrong with using auction houses to sell stuff? ditch it, its fugly as hell

Player shops were removed from the game for Western release, you won't be seeing it.
Besides that there was always a toggle option to turn off player shops, which provide many benefits however, sad they are being removed.
i totally agree with you. that is one of the things i hate the most. it is exactly like L2. i heard some rumors, that they were planning to get rid of it. hopefully they do, and keep only the auction houses.

Yep, they got removed completely.
• Removed private stores – we removed private stores from TERA so we could make the broker system the central hub of the player economy. We’ve increased the limit of items that can be sold from 8 to 50 and think this will help players to go to one place to find whatever they need
Don't know if pets got removed or just the ability to put up private stores.
How about EU, did they get removed there also?

I played CB 4 & 5 in the NA version and don't recall seeing a single private store, so I assume they were taken out?

Actually I think they were still in for the cbt's but will be axed for the OBT and onward.
i saw stores o.o you might have then turned off but when obt starts they won't exist any more.
There won't be players shop in the Western TERA
And i absolutely LOVE this.
Honestly, I kinda liked it. Probably because I'm not used to playing games with that feature, but I thought it gave the city some life and a certain amount of "chaos," which every city should have. Then again, I only played for 3 days, and I'm sure I'd have gotten sick of it soon enough.
