NEED PC Advice.....

well since im not an expert in buying computer parts, and i know its way cheaper and mre efficient in buying the parts and assembling it yourself, but i notice the other day when i was playing some of the games i started lagging like crazy...image so i decide to get a new processor / motherboard/ graphics card / and more RaM [basically a entire new PC]

but the problem is i heard u need to find compatible components and im not sure how to tell is it compat or not so il like to ask ppl for their opinion.

i live in UK so keep the components around that region for easier shipping. but i found these few parts give any opinion are they good or not [keep in mind budget, not to go over the top]

Sapphire Radeon X800 PRO 256MB DDR AGP x8 TV-Out DVI-I Lite Retail Box [graphics card]

Intel Pentium 531 3.0Ghz Socket 775 800Mhz 1 Mb Cache EMT 64 Retail Boxed [processor]

im not putting a motherboard cuz im not sure the one i put would be compataible or not, but if the processor i put there was alright to run programs like 'World Of warcraft' / tactical operation and prob 1 extra program with them and still not lag.

for RAM im thinknig bout 1.5g of RAM

so give ur opinion plz.

thnx for all ur time.image

great choices, but almost 90% of the people here will tell you to get an amd processor. If your going to get those then the mobo only has to have a 775 socket, and 1 agp slot. And more ram means less lag its not all about the motherboard.

im not going to link you to anythinh becouse i have no idea of what sites ship to uk, or any that are in the uk

so is that processor i listed bad or good?image

and [if anyone from UK can hlep me out on the mobo that has the reuirement that he listed earlier?]

would i be able to run most games without lag with that processor / RAM / graphics card?

thnx for all ur experts adviseimage

its a good processor, im just saying most people here will tell you to get an amd processor if you are going to be gaming for several reasons.

also everything else wil be able to run games almost perfectly

Im, buildin a new computer ::::20::.

    1 gig of ram
    AMD athlon 64 3000+
    Gigbyte PRO-SLI motherboard
ATI Radeon x600pro 256mb PCIexpress (then imm gonna upgrade to dual nvidia 6600gt's)

AMD processers are usually better performing in games, and instead of the x800, i would suggest getting a nvidia 6800. it has more features and it about the same price.
