All we know is this year. All dates listed on any other site, unless otherwise confirmed through the official GW2 website, or arenanet blog, are considered placeholder dates.
http://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/ Keep an eye there. Untill Anet says what the date its better to assume that all set dates out there are placeholders.
Almost certainly won't be released in June. December is quite likely for obvious reasons.

I really doubt December. June is more likely then December, though i'd think more like July to September.

Um they already said it would be the end of this month for the first weekend beta. If I'm not mistaken this weekend was a "stress" test in prep for the weekend beta events. It could be this weekend or next but it will not be 2 months from now. Sure its not an exact date but they would NOT say its at the end of april if it wasnt going to be.

That is why I decided to buy TERA and have fun 'till GW2 comes out, I am just sick of this waiting, and the "it comes out 2012" doesn't please me enough.
I am wondering why Anet is already selling the game without a release date. Did NCSoft say "no more money" or did Anet have an actual release date, but then let´s say Diablo´s release date collided with GW2´s?

I am, usually on the sandbox .. more "hardcore" side of things, but I also do just want to have fun. So lighten up already
All the signs point to June this year. With the world ending December, there's no way they get to the projected 3+million copies sold if they wait til September.
They do not have a release date as well, their president said it personally. They do not have a secret release date. If the game had been ready 2 seconds ago, they would have released it, And they started the pre-purchase so they can let the fans play the beta to satisfy their hunger and make some money after all these years. They are so close to launch but we know them: They will never release a product that they are not perfectly happy with. I am glad that i can finally play it in a week or two. I love how they act, making sure everything goes fine by taking sure steps.
um, NDA up and no release date and they wanted pre-purchasers? Are they THAT hurting for funds?
Personally, I'm thinking a November release is most likely, maybe a week or two before Thanksgiving.
With so much of the game still being tested and/or developed (the Sylvari and Asura haven't even been in a beta yet, for instance), I just can't see ArenaNet being ready to release it sooner - besides which, getting it out in time for Black Friday in the States would be a smart move from a sales perspective.

There will be no NDA for any of the upcoming beta weekend events.
These beta events are exactly what will help ArenaNet determine if their game is ready and, by extension, when to release it. They've been saying this since 2011.
