Path of Exile is a cheap diablo clone made by an indie company thats relying of donations to even get it off the ground. It has horrid graphics, uninspired gameplay,  no story whatsoever, no co op play, and towns with nothing more than a few npcs standing there.

Its only redeeming quality is its free while in beta...while it lasts

I can't be sure about that last point, but the first two are enough for me to steer clear.

I think its actually 15% now. If you sell a $100 item on the RMAH Blizzard will get $15. Amazing, IMO.

For a second there I was sure you were talking about Diablo 3 until you mentioned cooperative play.

(by the way, Path of Exile does have cooperative play -- I don't know where you got the idea that it didn't)

Proof? Last I checked was patch 15 and they take a cut of $1.25 from each item "if it sells". So you get $98.75 from that $100 item sold. Can't mention anything about how much they charge for when you want to cash out and put your banked money into paypal though. As i haven't tested that, would you like to back up your claim?

So Blizz will get either 15% or $1.25 out of each sale, and then (we think) charge money for you to actually convert this from Blizz-bucks to actual cash? I realize that I don't have to use it, and that it will not affect PvE since that's a single-player game, but it certainly can influence PvP and I do find this pretty offensive, especially with all the recent uproar over cash shops in other games.

Excited but not reading anything about it.  I'm looking forward to starting out with a barbarian.

I don't know, I think it's pretty easy not to be excited. I haven't even thought about Diablo 3 in a few weeks, much less kept up with recent news or information. How can I not be excited? Games aren't what they used to be.

I wish there was something to be excited about, but real life money + no pvp = blah

Diablo 3 has received a lot of unfavorable remarks. I won't be fooled again.

I'll give the money I save to ArenaNet because I'm 99.9% sure GW2 is going to be great.

I feel you there. However in all honesty if you enjoyed D2 in it's time, you'll probably enjoy D3. After playing the beta for D3, I realized I'll most likely enjoy it. To be honest though, the main reason I'm buying  it is so I'll have something to do while waiting for GW2.

If you enjoyed diablo 2 then you will enjoy path of exile, or torchlight 2. What about diablo 3 is even remotely similar to diablo 2? besides the classes? wait not even the classes, because i played Necro and druid and i cant do that again here in D3.

Money enters, and is never seen from again.

I plan to just never use it. Ever.

Yup... whcih is why I am not even bothering with the PC version.

But you'd bother with a console version of Diablo?

Sorry.  I am not some billionaire PC gaming elitist.  I am a regular guy with a decent PC and an Xbox 360.  If they make a version without the RMT auctions, it's mine.  If not, boycott all the way.  Gaming was not meant to be... this.

The Real life auction house is a great addition as well, even if some people think its pay 2 win, this was in diablo 2 a long time ago, people were just doing it through ebay, d2isj, etc. Now we have a safer, official way to do it. if I can make 2-3 dollars even a month while playing diablo 3, its still being paid to play a fantastic game.

PEOPLE DIABLO 3 IN 45 DAYS. NOT YEARS, NOT MONTHS, DAYS

I disliked the first 2 Diablos I've played better than this , I think I could do without this one as well, even if I did like Diablo I still wouldn't buy it due to the fact that it is RMT auction house I refuse to play a game that rewards lazy people with items for whoever pulls out their wallet and gives them money, sometimes you have to draw a line when it comes to gaming and this crosses a pretty big line. Thankfully I don't like the IP to even bother with it.

Many of my friends are stoked for D3, but I'm not.  The real money auction house is a bit disappointing, but doesn't really impact me as I only typically played with my friends and never laddered. On the other hand, the always-on internet connection for what is a single-player game is a non-starter.  I understand how Blizzard rationalizes it, but I just don't like it.  As a person with principles, D3 is a game I simply won't ever play.

With that written, I hope that everyone that buys D3 enjoys it tremendously.
