Archeage Features and system

Ive watching carefully many games in development,watching gameplay videos,reading oficial news,contents,features on official and fan websites the one that called way more of my atention is Archeage,i dint play the beta,so my opinions here are just about what ive watch and read,so,any correction from someone who know more or played the beta are wellcome

And i wish to discuss opinions about this game and learn more about it with any mate trough this post,ive marked with a (?) the points im not sure

What most called my atention on archeage

-Combat system

Simple,direct,dinamic and good playability

Mounted combat,you dont need to dismount to atack something,i aways find it stupid a hero that just cant use hes weapon while mounted lol

Mobs dont have all the same speed,allowing you to run away from a powerfull but slow mob,make better tatics to kill powerfull mobs (dont know if its true)

-Character evolution

Skill based,no levels (by what ive heard levels are only to get skills points,or at last your skill points personal distribuition is more mandatory for the end power than what the levels bring(?))

No class ties (you can combine 3 powers of 10 to build your own class and change it if you dont like what you first built)

good sort of non combat skills,making your char more than just a soldier who can craft hes own weapons

-LOT of sandbox

Housing,you can build a house,mansion,castle or even get a lot of players or clan mates and make a entire town

Land domination

Plantation and florest creation

Many sort of ships you can craft to explore the ocean and acomplish on ocean objectives,plus naval battles pve and pvp

Siege warfare that you can build/buy(?) and use on siege battles or open war pvp

-Eviroment interaction

You can climb walls,trees or whatever can be climbed to enter on a place,or even flee from a mob (has i see on a video and loled at that)

Destrutible enviroment,your target flee to some sort of bridge,tower whatever,just blow it up :)

Has sayd before you can not only destroy the enviroment but even change it by planting or building,making the game rly interesting has long it may change depending of players actions

-Graphics,design and efects

More realistic than the other fantasy mmos in development,still not even close to the realism i like (mortal online),avoiding that anoying cartoon look of most part of the mmorpgs out there (at last a lill less cartoon)

Stunning and detailed graphs,making every corner of the game interesting to walk around,the non interactible objects are not graphicaly distinguished from the interactible ones

Wesome and objective looking efects without being exaggerated

-Free play style

All the features i mentioned above lead the players to a open free play style,you can be social,crafter,fighter pvp,fighter pve,mercenary,builder,land owner,business man,specialist on sea

Also in combat you make your own specialisation due to the free skill distribution and be way more efective on the path of your choice:,,,AOE dps,1x1 dps,siege dps,tank,sailor,siege "engeneer",healer(? mass healer,heavy single heal?..not sure how heal works on AA or even if theres heal)

AA gives way more options and ways to make your character "unique" among your group of players or even on the entire game

The open world PVP brings more choices,options and decisions at second thot,you can be atacked anywere,soon its not a "go out there and acomplish your objective" every player need to think twice before make enemys,think more on join a guild,make more friends,be more social,hide and observe untill that more powerfull player go away from the place you have business on etc...

-Huge world

Aparently the map/world will be rly huge,by the way i have a pertinent doubt here,will it be a single server like entropia or EVE (please please be single server,only thing missing to be perfect)

-Laugable damage

Something i noticed and i dint liked was the damage system,aparently its too small even for dps chars,leading to those long anoying combats i hate that i experienced on XxX -_- specialy if heals will be mandatory,like other fantasy mmos

 

 

 

Plz,if i missed something or gave wrong info reply here or even make corrections on my mistakes,and,has soon has i dint mentioned anyother game and didnt compare i hope that ppl dont enter here just to flame (kids not wellcome...has aways)

    There are levels in the game. The maximum level is 50 currently and levels do make some difference in terms of power, although I am not sure if they give any bonuses besides more skillpoints to be distributed.

    You buy a blueprint, gather the matherials and then build it. Just like you would do with houses, ships, furniture and the like C:

    You cannot climb every single wall and I believe you cannot climb every single tree either. Not sure about that last thing though.

    You cannot destroy everything. In fact, you can destroy very little of the game world :)

    Yes, you can heal. One of the 10 skill trees you get to choose 3 from, is called 'devotion' and is based on healing and reviving.

    It won't be a single server game, probably. They were at least thinking about making different PvE and PvP servers.
