TERA: 'Beginnings' Trailer Released

En Masse Entertainment has released a new TERA trailer called 'Beginnings'. The cinematic trailer shows off the urgency of war and features each of the seven races.
The cinematic shows how the Valkyon Federation has come together to face a soulless army that threatens to engulf the world from the perspective of a baraka warrior-sage. Observant viewers will see each of TERA's seven playable races take part in the action, and will enjoy a sneak preview of the monsters they'll face and the places they'll visit. Combat—essential to an action MMO like TERA—takes center stage, and eagle-eyed fans will recognize some of the spells and attacks they'll use when TERA launches on May 1.

Trailer was ok.. but the background story is kinda weak. So we're coming back to this land to fight random bad guys? No main villians or groups? Just doesn't have a lot to it to get me pumped up like a trailer like this should.
It's rated M... Yet the chat is filtered? Great game, but that makes zero sense in my mind.

The island is new in the world of Arborea. The first scouting party was almost entirely wiped out. There's something behind it all and as a newbie, you find that out if you go through your story quests (the red ones).

Typical asian looking MMO, lots of bloom, "pretty" people, some pokemons... not my cup of tea.
I guess you haven't seen the late game female Armour set. ^_^
Yes - Looks very Asian typical - kinda reminds me of Aion. Not a huge fan of the graphics, everyone is a little too pretty and perfect with everything looking like an elf or a pokemon (as someone else noted). Much more a fan of the rougher graphical games..I don't need my char looking like an actor from the Twilight movies.
Or lack there of.
That was definitely a pretty trailer. I, for one, enjoy the Korean art style.

It's because you are trying to conflate two things:
Content that some parents might not want to have their children exposed to. Though truth be told most "children" will usually find a way. But that's the parent's problem.
And social interation that is suitable for the general public. You still have to tone down talking like a construction worker (which is a bit cliche but my language took a turn south when I worked contruction in the summers) and comport yourself like one would generally do in "general public".
Not everyone wants to hear about your bodily fluids, your graphic ideas on sexuality or whether or not people know where their "naughty parts" are. ; )

Tried out cb4 and cb5. Actually quite fun to play but the story for me is pretty lacking, as others said.
Still may get it though and to anyone on the fence, you should try it out as the game is quite fun.
Lol. Wrong game fella, but I could definitely see this being in SWTOR.
That map reminded me of Azeroth, art style looked like Aion. Will reserve judgment until beta but trailer did not make me excited for this game. Obviously, this is only my opinion and is subjective.
"Loading screens" are not "instances".
Your personal efforts to troll any game will not, in fact, impact the success or failure of said game.
Looks like all in game graphics, which is great as the game has amazing gfx
but the story, VO, even general "plot" of the video were kind of weak.
If there is one thing devs like TOR and WoW did right, it was/is making some amazing cinematic trailers.
Very underwhelmed by this.

To the guys who say "everyone is beatiful and perfect" and "pokemon" bullshit,please,gather info before writing.
Did you guys saw male Humans? they look like gorilas with steroids...male Aman? they look like a mutant dragon or something like that... the Barakas? BIG UGLY GOLEMS...(my main character is a Baraka) guess you guys didn't even bother to take a look. Yes there's a"cute loli" type of race,yes Castanics look like playboys/prostitutes,male elfs looks like female elfs but without breasts.
About the pokemon thing(the Poporis) are the most LAME and funny race i've ever saw.This game have races for everyone,from the mature players to the most young or nerdy player base.
The thing that's funny about TERA, is that if lore is to be listened to then that means the Poporis and the loli race make babies... Unsee that from your mind now, why don't you?
