New Progression Guild 03/2012

BlazenfuryBlazenfury Member, Newbie CommonPosts: 23

Hail and well met friend!

With the announcement of Everquest Free To Play, we've decided to bring an old idea back to reality. Myself and others have set up and run 4 progression guilds in the last 5 years. Each guild had its own successes and failures but, each and every time we tried, it was a highly memorable and enjoyable experience!

With Free To Play coming in March; I think this is a great time to get the guild running again. For these types of guilds to survive, they need to have a strong core that share values. The founding members of the guild will be the ones that decide how the guild is run. You want your voice heard? Get in from the ground up!

We've been a part of 4 progression guilds and have a good idea of what it takes to keep these running smoothly. Unintended Consequences of test, Intended Consequences of test and Wrathful Inquisition were the big 3 that many of us had the pleasure of being involved with. Members from these guilds still have nothing but great things to say about their time spent there. Many of us still keep in touch with our old friends because of the great bonds we built doing EQ progression.

If you have any interest in this project, now is the time to get involved. We will be discussing and voting on rules, pace, ect. We are looking for a few more officers but anyone interested at all should get involved as soon as possible. Help us get started and make your voice heard. Without a dedicated core of players, these guilds will flicker and die very quickly. Feel free to contact us at http://progressionx.guildlaunch.com.

Please stop on over and let's make this project something to remember!

Launch went great! We are in the leveling phase right now and are sitting at 120 members.

We expect many more to be joining with FTP on the 16th.

Come join us as we get ready to begin our Classic raiding phase!

Progression X is still recruiting new members.  We are currently still raiding classic and have downed a few raid targets.   We have a relatively large group of players.  Members have been assisting new players level, and there are always groups formed.  We are still capped at level 51 so it is not too late to join and catch up.  On average it will take ~week or so to get towards level 51.

If you are interested go to the website from the first post and make a character and send a member a tell, and an officer can invite you.    Looking for all types of players.  The guild is an EST guild and we do raid according to those times, be sure if you are looking to raid that you will be able to make some of the raids.

Some benefits for me personally joining this progression guild over a progression server are:

    We choose our progression rate

Raid Target Availability (opposed to 1 or 2 guilds ruling the servers raids and being too far to behind to catch up)

Get to rexperience EQ similar to the original with a few exceptions such as use of pok and other time consuming traveling (You can always choose not to use those features).

    Less downtime.

Guild implements rules which make it more difficult to kill raid targets, rather than using bugs or improved abilities that would make the raids simple (IE: SK HT that progression servers used to kill raid mobs in seconds).

Many members who are very active.

After defeating all of our classic raid targets, we have now moved into Kunark and are currently in the leveling process to level 60!

We are still recruiting new members, and you are still not too far out of reach from catching up.  Have many new people join and give it a try and they catch up rather quickly!
