And someone would fund that why?
I'm going to have to second this.... I don't know why they'd need it, if it isn't popular enough for them to monetize it or keep it going, then I don't see any reason it should...
Besides they got this far without a kickstart....
Oh wow, another 'witty' series about MMO gaming, I'll help because we definitely need another one of those floating around.
On second thought, I think I'll go buy myself some socks instead.
/sarcasm
To bad they keep looking for money and do not put any work into the series, well..they do .someting, afterall they had TWO episodes , in TWO YEARS. ...
Eidt to not add more post about the same : "Lives and other projects" HmmMmm 4reelz (dotCom) /shrug goodluck, not for me to "invest" into a trailer production company..
Eh, guys... we have lives and other projects in production and post-production. We need to raise funds to make a full series because you have to pay animators, composer, actors, etc. You don't just do it for free. We raised the funds for the pilot and made it. Now, using the almost entirely positive feedback we got from that, we're trying to do the same for a full series. I believe in Four Tanks. If I didn't, I'd give up on it. It's totally worth the hard work required just to get the ball rolling.
Thanks for the plug, Sue!
More than just a fanboy.
I enjoyed it and wish you guys well. Disregard the nabs, over cynical 'cool' runs deep around here
They actually explained this. They sunk their cash into getting it this far and now need additional investment. Their monetizising of it obviously will come from selling the DVD etc, for which they will require content... to get content they need more money... This is why they require kickstart.
It 'aint rocket science.
While I'm not a fan, I hope you guys find what you're looking for.
Online only mini-series do fine monetizing without the need for a DvD, and episodic content can be sold anywhere, most especially on mobile platforms. Advertisements for popular content make plenty of money, and the well produced videos on youtube aren't exactly free to make either.
I'm not going to get into any negativity over it, if you like it, support it, good for you.
watched the episodes its really good ks gods
haha, thanks, Gilga
And to the dude who said that monetizing an online web-series is easy...
What?
The biggest one there is (The Guild) doesn't make it's members rich by any means and has to rely on things like merch and DVD sales.
DVD sales is our goal. We're pacing the full season somewhat like a feature film, so that when the DVD is watched later, there is one long story arc along with all the small individual ones.

Welcome to MMORPG.com where everyone is an armchair expert, no matter if they have a frikin clue as to what's being talked about. Hell, this is the internet, where we are all expert authorities on everything!
There are other ways to monetize episodic content, and there are others that are easily sustainable. If you are looking to get rich I think thats another story, but regardless, I hope you find what you're looking for.
source? examples? no? Then im gonna have to call BS, weak trolling. Not gonna bother pointing out the fails in your other post since they're obvious enough.
Their monetizing of it obviously will come from selling the DVD etc, for which they will require content.
Harry Bro
BLR. Magic Hugs. etc. sell episodic content on the mobile markets, use adsense.
Theres a difference between funding a project and becoming rich....
