Goldsellers and bots in beta

the game itselves prooves very much fun, espescially the combat...
But never before have i sees goldsellers active in beta. They where even offereing powerleveling to 60 for $650. And that on the only available roleplay server.
Next to that i saw an archer bot camping a boss spawnpoint. (actually quite easy since the boss allways spawns on exactly the same spot, and the higher level archer was shooting her arrows (auto attack) straight through that spot, and auto looting.

If there's not going to be a wipe at the end of beta, then why wouldn't the gold farmers treat it like live?

I think you missed my point. In most betas, gold sellers won't bother because there's a wipe at the end of beta. Any gold they farm is gone at the end of beta. Any gold they sell wil also be gone at the end of beta, so there isn't much of a market to buy it.
But if people keep their stuff at the end of beta, then people inclined to buy gold in live might just as well do so in beta. Furthermore, gold sellers keep the gold that they farm in beta, so why not start now? The sensible time for gold farmers to start is immediately after the last wipe.

no bots on PvP server ftw coz you can just pk them lolololol =X Also lvl 1-60 take you like 2week to 1 month i lol at plvling price so overpriced its not even funny.
It wouldnt be a true Asian MMO with out botters and gold sellers. Not suprised at all.

I hate to say it but I have to agree as wel. I have yet to see any advertisements in chat. I've blocked some "children" in chat but that's about it.

Big deal. All games had goldsellers in general chat. I'm playing on a PvP-server, so bring those bots. What's the the point of this thread?
Same here. Been playing the RP server and haven't seen this. General Chat, depending on the time of day can be good or bad (middle of day is politics, religion and "x sucks, y is cool" --- night time is usually fun conversation -- 4 AM is hilarious

If there's powerlevlling and gold spam, it must've been while I was in party chat.

It is still not a good sign, lets hope En masse fixes this soon or it will hurt the game.
Personally it is the people who buy gold that annoys me, they are the ones encouraging bots and account hijackers and destroy the fun for everyone else.
So far on Valley of the TItans (PVP server) I have not seen a SINGLE Gold seller/power leveling advertisements. NOT a single one, That problem might be for other servers but here its clean as fuck lol.
Yeah just roll on a PvP server, that's where the party is at anyway.
I don't remember if they took out pet venders in W-Tera, but in K-Tera there was a counter system to the AH where players can create their own shops and set the price of items that they want to buy/sell. In case someone was messing with the AH causing inflation, you can still get the items you need at the price that you're willing to pay via the pet venders.
Also the chrono-scrolls system is designed to undercut Gold seller's bottom line by giving players that do like to buy in-game stuff with RMT an in-game option.
I don't know if any MMO can ever get rid of gold sellers, but at least En Masse has definitely aware of them and is has implemented safeguards to deal with them.
Bots need beta testing as well.

Let's see here. A Tale in the Desert did. Puzzle Pirates did. Spiral Knights did. Yeah, it's possible for MMORPGs to get rid of gold sellers. It takes a lot of basic game design to design them out of the game, though, not just an aggressive banhammer.
Guild Wars had gold sellers, too, but they never spammed public chats, so they didn't really hurt anything from a players' perspective.
