In the past 3-4 hrs of this weeks Open Beta trial there has been alot of reviews alot of wich ppl r sayign its too easy....and so on....al i have to say is this...
ITS BETA and a REALLY short one at that u only play 5% of the freaking game and you got THREE otehr difficulties to go through! If you thought easy shud be getting one hit killed by a monster then u must really suck.

People always rush to get to be the first to bash a new game, it's going to happen with any future MMOs. Even though I think D3 looks like garbage, I admire your enthusiasm.

I felt the graphics lacking too. I enjoyed the game though because I know what Diablo is and I undersand its 2012 and they have to cater to the younger generation a bit. Most of their core fans of the IP are past 21 by now.
I'm riding for story in Diablo and hack-n-slash mania that is to be in further difficulties..

That many people bash a new game is no odd thing, the weird thing in this case is that almost all the bad reviews are from old Diablo fans, usually it is the new players that complains.
I feel the same but only about people complaining about the difficulty of the first ten levels. That really isn't merrited.
D2 was just as easy. You really had to screw up to die in normal mode. It was something you wanted to leave behind you as soon as possible to get access to the better drops and bigger challenges in the two harder difficulty settings.
But the complaints about dumbed down, automatic leveling without choice and very linear map design are very merrited I feel.

well this really. Other things too... I feel bad even thinking bad thoughts about Diablo. I loved D1 so much, D2 a little less so but this... Maybe I've just proved to myself I'm totally over the Diablo franchise? If some people like it then that's great and I hope they have fun.

To be Honest, i think that D3 will be pretty mediocre game. It certainly wont ''suck" as many think, but wont surpass its predecessor neither. I may try it in some period after launch and probably somewhere on my friend's account, but it wont be day 1 purchase for me.
What chased me of that game wasnt graphic, linear character progression (well, maybe a bit) 'easy gameplay' etc. It was that Jay Wilson's statement couple of months ago about telling on which way Diablo 3 should be played, which consisted only of his opinion which i didnt liked at all IMO, yet he stated it as a fact. Developers should tell us about multiple ways of playing their game and not which way is wrong and which isnt.
Dont like attitude of Blizzard's developers and they dont deserve my money for now. They will tell you next that WoW's "carrot chasing" is the only way MMORPGs should be played and many would buy that crap.
Sorry for being a bit off-topic. Diablo III will be a good game, no doubt it will sell well, but it isnt even made by same D2 people anymore, so it will sure differ than first two. Many wont also like that difference.

I don´t get this at all. The game looks absolutley stunning on my computer. Even more so in 3D. It was quite the experience for sure.
You're the second person to misunderstand me. No, I just meant it looks like it won't be fun for very long, if at all (to me). I could be wrong and when it comes down in price like most Diablo games eventually do, I might give it a shot, but I didn't mean its graphics were bad. They more than get the job done.
Has this not been covered today in several posts? in fact im pretty sure you put the point across..

its really not a beta.. think about it. You only get to test the very beginning and only get to what lvl 13? The first time I completed the beta I was lvl 9... it went down the next time. They aren't listening to ANYTHING the testers have had to say hence them removing the fun stuff and dumbing the game down with each patch.
This is more a marketing ploy than a beta.
you didn't play d2 did you? on the off chance you did, remember blood raven? first boss. not that easy (easy enough, but you could still die). the skeleton king in d3 is the first "real" boss (with a bunch of mini bosses in front of him in the story), and the only tricky part with him was remembering which button to push for the solitary health pot i needed.

Lol. Blood Raven was easy. Killed her first time in the Diablo 2 open beta.Path of Exile dudes, PAth of Exile. Check that.. its a true sucessor to Diablo series.
D3.. way too much dumbed down. The auction hosue with rl cash is an awesome idea tho and graphics are awesome. Some issues in the beta.. some weird ones but other than that.. problem is too much dumbed down.
For an RPG fan.. Path of Exile miles ahead of D3.
Took off the nostalgia goggles? You know, those goggles are probably the only reason why Diablo 3 has any sense of popularity, right? So you... had them on, got super psyched for Diablo 3, was kinda disappointed by the game, then took off your goggles and were okay with the game?

Btw, Diablo 3 is nothing but a gutted Diablo 2 with added features such as: RMT auction house, required online connection to play your singleplayer game, leveling skill/stat system that requires no forethought, and heavily influenced quest gameplay (Can't pass A before finishing or starting quest

I think I pee'd in my pants a little during that vid.
Both in graphics and gameplay mechanics (the skill dragging, the spell effects, the burning of the hut with monsters inside) that was very impressive.

He's even easier in co-op which should be the other way around, he bearly does any damage...
I still remeber the first level of Diablo 1 when i was litterly too scared to open some doors because the butcher might be poping out of them :<
Diablo 3 was a dissapointment, in terms of pure hack and slash fun Tourchlight did it much better, Diablo 3's art style is somewhere between the catroony style of tourchlight and diablo 2 and it's not a compliment its another disappointment.
The game is not dark enough, it's not scarry and not the fact that you'll have to spend 20 hours or so finishing it on normal to open any more challenging modes does not compensate for it.
The skils also seemed to be a bit odd, i mean you can play a Wizzard with a 2h sword and the high damage output of your sword goes directly into your main ability/spell damage.... when i realized that i had one of the biggest IRL WTF moments i had for a long long time...
