what do you mean by created an account? do you mean that you put all of the information in outside of CC info and then canceled out? I thought you needed to put the CC info in as part of creation. You certainly need it to login.
I would say if you have not logged in nor put in the CC info you still have 14 days. If you are worried simply hit create new account and use that one instead.
What the hell kind of "FREE Trial" asks for your credit card number? I really wanted to try this game but giving your CC info for a trial is really very wrong. Frankly it's dangerous.
Is there no way around this? I mean I pay to play AO, and Planetside...but giving my CC# for a trial is bizzare.
its far from dangerous, unless the person using the game needs to wear a helmet while on the computer. The cc info is to make sure your old enough. second, if you like the game and decide to keep playing you don't have to enter infomation. I am not 100% on why they do it that way, but a lot of games do. Mythic to me is a very very respectable company and is trustworthy.
If you like, you can create the account and cancel it right away, giving you just the 14-days free.
Can anyone help me with a problem i have i put in my account info and my CC for the free trail and all it says is try again in a few min but i wait and it keeps saying it.
Hey man my helmet never comes off. 24-7, I'm MR. Paraniod. I even have a layer of foil in there to stop the government or aliens fromusing their mindcontrol satalites on me.
I still think it's bunk. Yes someother companies...as I found out "Turbine" does the same thing. Wanted to try AC2 but same crap. Anytime you give your account info to someone on the net you are making your self vunlrable. If you don't believe me try a search on the web of just how easy it is to intercept even secured transactions. If I'm not going to actually pay for something I don't take the risk.
Call me a freak if you will.
