From reading many forums from around the world, it seems that GW2 has very good pre-purchase numbers. I have seen a number of discussion threads about what people have bought, though they are often quite difficult to get an overall picture from if there is no poll.
Note, if you qualify for two of the options, eg, you pre-ordered and pre-purchased more than one copy of the game, then please select the pre-purchase as your main choice.
Remember Pre-Purchase is buying the game and paying for it NOW.

is pre-purchase and pre-order different?
Assuming you've purchased the game, unless they have already sent out your product key, I am pretty sure you can still return it. Pre-orders, you can always return. This is it?

preperchase you pay for the game in full and get a 3 day head start , a hero band and garenteed beta
preorder is putting down nothing (or a diposit depending on where you buy it) 1 day head start no hero band and you dont get garenteed beta
i preperchaed DDE i know the stuff is crap but i want to support this game and CE is just more then i can afford

I looked through 3 recent pages as I thought there would be one, though didn't find one. There is a pre-purchase discussion, but it is not a poll as such. There are similar ones I have seen on other sites, but they often suck as the forum does not allow polls, so people ask, and expect to count the posts when users add their choice... very inefficient.
I pre-purchased GW2 CE.
I think this will be the only game ill spend this much money on.
Agreed, I don't think I have waited in anticipation so much for a game. The Charr figurine is going to look so good on one of my office book shelves

Yeah, you have a point... they will collect dust. I am 39, and really thought I was nuts to buy the CE. Hopefully I will feel less guilty once I get me Charr and put him up in my office
I went with the pre-purchase CE. It was pretty dicey too since the place I ordered it from in Canada was never listed as a retail partner on ArenaNet's list. Hell, it still isn't. But since EB Games screwed the pooch so badly, there wasn't much of an option. Got my key finally though and set up my account.
I'd hoped there would be more in-game goodies with it and not as much temporary stuff (which I never tend to use), but the figurine looks great, the book should be awesome and the music will be perfect for my tabletop gaming sessions. Still worth the price and the headaches, to me.

I pre-purchased the Collector's Edition. I've got to start my figurine collection somewhere, hey?
Honestly, though, it was the 'making of' book that won me over. I love that sort of thing.
