In every MMO i've played to date, I always enable mouse movement (hold down the right mouse button to move) and then use the right mouse button to interact. Then I use mouselook.
Then I have all my spells/abilities keybound..so that I never have to use WASD. I keep ASD (a/d strafe, s move backwards).
Is there a way to have this type of setup in TERA. When I logged into the beta, I had a lunge ability linked to my right mouse button, and my toon performed a string of attacks by just holding the left. I tried looking in the UI settings and saw where I can map hotkeys..but not how I can enalbe the type of mouse movement/look that I'm currently used to.
Any help would be appreciated.

Well in the options menu, under shortcuts, you can change "move forward" to be mouse 2, and change "main 2" (which is what the right click is set to for default) to something else. That's the only way I can think of doing it. Then you can change A,S and D to your skill bar or whatever you need them to be. (which is lower 1 through X) on the shortcuts menu, in case you didn't know) Hope that helps!
I supose you're not familiar with Tera's game mechanics.
You don't control the camera with mouse clicks. You don't see your mouse pointer at all when you move.
Think of it as a shooter. A shooter game camera mechanic combined with the traditional MMORPG mouse mechanic. You can use the traditional mechanic and click everywhere on the UI while you move, but you won't be able to control your movement directions with the mouse while being in that mode.
So basically there are two modes.
At least I think, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong or if I forget to mention something.
No it be impossible, Tera plays like a 3rd person shooter. There is no mouse on the screen at all. When you move your mouse your changing the direction your character is aiming and facing.
LOL what does "this is tera" have to do with the op's legitimate question?
I was in the same boat OP. It's an adjustment sure but it's not too bad after a night. You should have seen me log back into EQ2 after CBT1, kept running into walls lol
Just not worth my time anymore.
