I dont really care about having it already. I just want the cool icon shortcut for my desktop

    That's okay.  Your post inspired me to check my email, and all I got was a sales pitch:

    Yep really.  It's marketing and you more than likely got for signing up for the newsletter.   But If this bothers you this much, you must have alot of trouble with resturants, menus, super markets, etc...

    It's what everyone that has a product to sell does.

    For a second I was hoping A-net was going to sell me enhancing pills, or hair regrowth, or a romantic encounter, or instant riches, or some other awesome internet opportunity...

    You signed for newsletter haven't you?

     

    Cause I signed for newsletter on my "junk e-mail" and registered GW2 on diffrent e-mail.

    Guess what - e-mail I registered my pre-purcharse copy did NOT get AD e-mail , while my junk-newsletter e-mail did.

    Getting excited over a download email is about as productive as...some other recent event...oh yeah, the day we were allowed to officially pre-purchase.  Nothing changes until you get to log in.  Get excited for that day.  In the meantime, go have fun with something that is available to you now.

    Email for download link no longer required. It's right there on your account page if you log in. It's not active yet, so don't freak out.

    I couldn't find it.....

    Are the accounts/active for login yet? I couldn't log in from day one of pre-purchase and all I got from their issue ticketing service was 'this was not a feature that was active yet'.

    Not worried about the 'download' at this point but if accounts are live enough to log in/see keys etc, something is not right on my account and I need to get something fixed.
