Diablo 3 Graphics and Performance Comparison 1080p

A simple look at some of the different graphics settings ingame. Using video wipes, picture wipes, as well as zoomed screenshots to judge the differences.

Shadow quality drops as do some lighting effects. The difference in texture is almost unnoticeable. Tree/Well texture is very noticeable on changes

No Shadows are rendered at all and a lot of jagged edges appear from having no AA anymore.



Overall textures and lighting does not take a big hit between the settings but shadows and AA (I assume fxaa due to the small performance hit) do. Beta overall seemed very solid and ran great.



After reading around I can see many people had a lot of issues recording this game. I used both Fraps and Dxtory and both worked great and neither lowered my frame rate below 60 while recording. So either the issue was fixed or im just not experiencing it.

    It really is to bad that they did not go one step higher with texture resolutions.
